What makes you think that the pope does not know anything about Islam? Is it because you think that anyone who studies Islam or reads the Qur'an will discover that it is true and perfect and ideal and convert?
You may be surprised to learn that many people have studied Islam and still can think for themselves.
Islam is NOT a peaceful religion. There are many passages in the Quran that advocate qitl fee sybil Allah (warfare in the cause of Allah). These are not only defensive combat situations but also offensive combat situations.
Are you a true Muslim or al qaideena (4:95, 9:86)? Do you deny that Islam was spread by the sword? Do you deny that Manuel II Palaiologos empire was conquerored and he had to pay jizyah? Do you know about ISLAM?

The Pope studies ALL religions in great depth...not just Catholicism

The POPE is a highly educated man & he was only quoting -- what happened only proves the quote CORRECT.
Also to Mac: He's reading ancient quotes to enhance his knowledge & to pass on knowledge. Something you might look into.

the pope knows all about every religon.muslims wouldent be able to mess around with the pope as he is wel respected by all the powerful countrys of the world,britain,america,germany,italy,france,netherlands,and so on.
