I feel that the recent attacks against the Catholic church is unbelievable. I'm sure the Pope is very sorry for what his comment caused. But, after a nun getting shot in the back and churches getting burned, do you think he should give an apology, or a statement to abolish terror?

Not that I'm defending Catholics, but I always find it repulsive how Muslims protest being called violent or that they use hatred to spread there religion, by being violent and spreading hatred. That's like if someone were to call me fat and I were to say "hey, I'm not fat, let me eat this chocolate cake to prove it."

Yes, of course he should. Any Christian, on finding that they have unwittingly caused offence, should apologise. I didn't read the full speech but I understand that the quote he used was not intended to be considered as an attack on Islam. Unfortunately, some people are oversensitive and expresed offence. I believe that the Pope has now offered both an official and a personal apology.

The attacks on the nun and on the churches are a separate thing. While they might have been incited by the Pope's comment he is in no way responsible for them. The responsibility lies entirely with the perpetrators, who do NOT represent Islam as a whole.

The Pope should take out a full page ad in Arabic and announced his formal apology in a Saudi Arabia newspaper soonest possible; otherwise Christians will continue to be targetted in retaliation for the offensive quotes against Islam.

His personal apology falls short of what the Muslim world expects from the leader of 1 billion Catholics.

HE was right till he started back peddling. A real Christian would just tell the truth and then stand on it in faith.. The pope is a coward, Islam is a religion of hatred and murder.
