The planet has fluctuated in temperature over the Melina - sometimes due to pollutants in the atmosphere (volcano ash and gasses, water vapour, dust from impacts, giant forest fires - all cooled the planet.) The tilt of the earth relative to the sun and the distance from the sun in the elliptical orbit and the wobble of the earth coupled with bouts of solar flair activity.

Global warming has no scientific evidence - its just guesses as we have no accurate data covering annual temperature fluctuations or air born pollutants or solar activity for the last - lets say million year(a short time scale in geological and astronomical history)

If you looked at how hot the evidence shows the world during the time the dinosaurs walked the earth you will see (best guesses remember) that the earth has been hotter and cooler that what we have experienced the the last 100 years.

Stop living on what the newspapers say and please do some research and you will find that the "evidence" that the newspapers use is junk!

Scientists can't agree on this one, the problems are being caused by deforestisation and the creation of vast areas of water by damming up river to make lakes where non existed, this is creating an imbalance. The changing weather patterns however are a natural cycle. In my youth the school summer holidays were spent on the beach from 10 am to 9 pm, every day. I can't do that today!

Global warming is ridiculous. The earth was here LOOOONG before we humans and it went through some catastrophic changes. To think that we humans cause this "global warming" is the most arrogant thing possible! It's the politicians who want control. I suppose you believe the war in Iraq was caused by Bush wanting to give the Iraqi's democracy. It was an excuse to get their oil!! The Twin Towers and terror had nothing to do with that at all! So think again everyone!!! I agree with Kate!!

Kate, you are absolutely spot on. But, you are up against anti-capitalists, who are using so called global warming as a basis for attacking industry etc. They have many acolytes who are on the same bandwagon for their own purposes. They seem to treat the Earth as though it were a baby, truth is, it would blow them all to kingdom come if one of its mega volcano's went off. Then it would say, "whats that funny burning smell".

Even in the North of England, there are many streets called "Grape Street". Water vapour in the form of clouds, creates much more heat than co'2 emissions, not to mention methane emissions from the sea bed. There are also volcanic emissions, sun spots, solar radiation etc. I understand that plant life will take up the additional co'2 and give off more oxygen. Also, sea algae soaks up a lot of co'2. The earth has been looking after itself for about 5billion years, it doesn't care whether we are here or not.

You're not alone, Kate. Many of these people have been brainwashed by the likes of Al Gore. What do you people think happened when lightening started forest fires? THEY BURNED! Do you think the dinosaurs had a bucket brigade? Did they stick a giant cork in an erupting volcano?
Human-caused global warming is a myth!

Well it is proven fact that global warming is a natural event that has happened over and over. In fact global warming is usually followed by an Ice age.
But pollution has speeded up this process.
Even if we stop all the pollution today the earth will still get warmer and warmer.

Sorry Kate, think your way off! Sure there is a natural weather cycle that fluctuates to a certain degree, but to say that the industrial age and all its noxious emissions have and will not contribute to an artificial acceleration of this cycle is quite naive. What are your qualifications in saying that scientist are 'guessing' incorrectly and that all their evidence is crap, do you happen to have in your possession, evidence to say otherwise or are you just speaking out your A R S E ?

Global Warming ? what a great scam for Politicians to Threaten , Extend further controls over an already suppressed nation , and continue to Confiscate more and more of the Nations Wealth ,and to continue to recruit more and more Lunatic "Politically Correct Morons" and twisted "Jobsworths" to pile on the Misery.
