he seems to be pushing this moron bush,as much as i think bush is the down fall of america,i will give him credit of not pushing this guy back,i am just wondering what chavez is up too especialy since one of his ministers was detained and "ill treated",no doudt making sure he was,so he can bash america somemore,but with all the new war upgrades and the total bush bashing,yet his opinion of the "great respect of the american people" anyone want to guess what hes up too,is he a pawn like the palestinians to the middle east govs or what.........

Seems like all we see on the news are violent things. That is what sells, but what about the good things that happens? Why don't we have an interest in those things? If you had a cause and wanted some media attention, the only thing you could do is something violent. Maybe we are bringing on all the violence around the world ourselves. That is the only way we will listen to them? Would we be a better society if we stopped watching the voilent things, and started watching the good people do instead? Give that our attention? If Iran gave millions of dollars for cancer research, who would really care? It wouldn't be on the news but maybe once, but if they build a nuclear bomb, we are glued to the tv set. Maybe it is possible that we are bringing on all the pain and suffering in the world on ourselves......

But all of this seems to go back to being too generous to his wife. So what if they are interested in luxury goods and high society? They are not my kind of people, but is it our business? There are worse forms of fraud than using your own company's money to celebrate your wife's birthday, take her on a trip and buy her jewelry. He is not guilty of drug trafficking, art smuggling or the illegal sale of weapons.

Conrad Black actually comes from humble beginnings. His wife, Barbara Amiel, has worked her whole life for everything that she has and used to be editor of the Toronto Sun. He lost his job and they froze his assets, which seems unjustifiable. She had to give up her job as a freelance writer with a certain London newspaper, maybe the London Herald. He is also facing a criminal fraud court case and a lawsuit by Hollinger. Why doesn't he just pay back the money he used from Hollinger for his own personal interest and a small fine and retire? They can leave it at that.
