Seriously, I'd love to know what goes on in your minds when it comes to crime, especially sex offenders who ruin lives of people for ever. How can you say "let's rehabilitate"? Unfortunately, it's mostly judges (previous lawyers) out there who decide the punishments which end up being a mere slap on the hand. Just for sick kicks, go to MEGANSLAW.COM and type in your zip code and see if you don't get a little nautious..... and remember, the results make up about 15% of what actually goes on. Most children are molested by people they know and never report it.

Does anyone think this whole "Ernesto" thing was blown WAY out of proportion? I lived in Miami for 20+ years and "weatherd" Hurricane Andrew, so I fully understand the importance of being prepared.... but now I live in central Florida and everyone was spazing for the past 2 days.

He was arrested in Thailand for other sex crimes with minors AND, in Thailand, the punishment is actually what it should be for that,,,, serious punishment. So he confessed JUST so that he could come face charges in America where we merely slap someone's hand. What a ()*&^ JOKE to our justice system!!!! Now he faces a misdemeanor??? Get real! Pull his toenails out, hang him in a field of rattlesnakes and see what happens.
People..... are we NOT over letting sex offenders walk away with a minor little slap on the hand?

Bastrop High School is being stripped of their State Championship win! Right before Hurricane Katrina a coach from South Louisiana got hired at Bastrop High School. Well when Katrina happened the boys wanted the Coach to come and get them, so he went and got them and brought them back to Bastrop, LA where they eventually ended up deciding to stay and live. And the boys decided to play football in bastrop. Bastrop went on to win the state championship. Now a year later on the anniversery of Katrina, Bastrop is being stripped of their title b/c of ruling that the coach was not allowed to go and pick them up. I don't see how this is fair, don't they take into account that these folks lost EVERYTHING, does anyone else have any thoughts on this???

Like when John Kennedy Jr's plane went down, I saw absolutely nothing but a screen shot of the spot of water for like 3 days. Did they expect him to rise up out of the water or something? Then they have to interview EVERY single person who has ever heard the name "john"...Give me a break!

The leader of Lebanon wants to go back to the 1949 boundaries designated for Israel. The Arab countries didn't really accept those boundaries then what's different today?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060830/ap_on_re_mi_ea/mideast_lebanon

Considering the forces massed on Israel's border when the Six Day War I can understand Israel being preemptive in that one. And when Israel was attacked in the 30 Day War the Arab forces lost again. Israel by right of conquest could be even larger than it is today. They have given back ground already. And are willing to give more back. But look at the 1949 boundaries. For strategic reasons why should they agree to go back to those boundaries? What reason would be good enough to even consider going back to the 1949 boundaries?

He really doesn't have a valid reason other than he doesn't like Pres. Bush...........As a person elected in office, I don't feel that he should use hatred while he is running a city.....He can hate anyone he likes, but he shows no couth when it comes to being a person elected to an office he doesn't uphold..........He should be impeached! What do you think?
