Mayor of Salt Lake City Utah doesn't want Pres Bush to visit on Thurs.8-31-06?

He really doesn't have a valid reason other than he doesn't like Pres. Bush...........As a person elected in office, I don't feel that he should use hatred while he is running a city.....He can hate anyone he likes, but he shows no couth when it comes to being a person elected to an office he doesn't uphold..........He should be impeached! What do you think?

Let me tell ya, do you live in a town where Bush or any other president has ever visited?

It's a pain! They shut down traffic going both ways on all kinds of roads for hours. They empty out all the buildings around where he will be. What happens if you work in one of those buildings? Sorry about your luck. You don't get paid for being forced to miss work.

It's insane, and I for one hope he never comes back to my homestate.

Speaking of elected officials, The mayor of Salt Lake was also elected. If his city doesn't want someone there, then that someone shouldn't go. I don't think there is a law that would stop Bush from going, but as we all know, GWB ignores laws anyway.

He should be honored as one of the few politicians that actually saved his constituents money and aggravation. Anything that is detremental to his city is valid enough reason to keep george away. Is he a republican because no republicans want to be seen glad handing and close association with the bush people any longer. They want to distance themselves as much as humanly possible!

you state he says dislikes ...then move to hate and he's probably saving tax payers a bundle by not wanting Bush to visit ..plus roads clogged with cars security tons of people ... yada yada i could go on but i won't
