what are some similarities between the iraq war that going on now and the gulf war?

The gulf war was brought about by Saddam Hussein Iraqi army invading Kuwait. This brought about a UN resolution saying that IRAQ should leave Kuwait, when it didn't,, G bush senior (US president at the time) used the US army along with others called the coalition to invade Kuwait and force the Iraqi army back into Iraq. Once this goal was achieved the coalition troops stopped and the majority of Husain's army was left alone..

The Current war in Iraq is a consequence of the first!, its said that if the original war gulf war had carried the fighting all the way to Baghdad and overthrew Saddam Hussein then there would have been no need to go back !!.

The original war was fought and won without ambiguity! - there was a clear end-game to win!.." in other words it was to get Iraqi troops out of Kuwait".

At first the reason why the current Iraq war is being fought was all about weapons of mass destruction!,, "NO weapons of mass destruction where ever found".. There is a more cynical view which says its more of a personal campaign by GW Bush to finish the job his dad started and to pay off big multi national companies like bectell and halliburton with nice big fat government contracts to rebuild iraqi infrastructure destroyed during the war.

The people of Iraq, have suffered a massive dislocation of its society which threatens to evolve into an all out civil war between the various religious factions . Americans / British and other troops are currently trying to keep the factions apart so that society can recover.. Only time will tell whether it was worth it in the end..

In the end there are lots of similarities between the two wars.. Troops and civilians die, presidents and generals get the glory and the ordinary people pick up the costs.. Nothing ever changes!..

Now USA army occupied Iraq without any reason this is first time in history that USA attack invade country without any reason
before that USA help all nations without reason just because they need help
