I signed up for a gym membership and later tryed to cancel it. I found out from the owner, that the girl who drew up the contract wasnt really an employee but a student trying to get credits for school. The student lied to me about how they were going to take the monthly payments and she never told me it was a 3 year contract. Now i have collections after me to pay. Is this legal to have a nonemployee draw up business contracts? How do i handle this and what are the laws?
