My dad worked for the USPS for over 20 years.
Usually it will take about a day and a half. There's allot involved here. It gets collected then if you live in a small town, then more than likely it goes to a bigger P.O. then comes back to where ever you are sending it to. Yeah a day and a half is a safe bet.

It's not really a cut-and-dried situation. Location has a great deal to do with it. Though all postal boxes have a pickup schedule listed on them, that schedule varies by the density of the population.

In my small town, pickup from a business is once per day and pickup from postal boxes happens two times a day. Since our post office does not process mail, the mail is shipped to another city where it is processed, canceled, sorted, and sent on it's way (even if it happens to come back to my town for a local delivery). It can make a 60 mile round trip to go five blocks, but it still, normally , gets delivered the next day.

If you need to know when a package or letter will reach it's destination, all you need do is ask the clerk at the post office and they can give you a very close estimate. They even account for weekends, holidays, and heavy monthly letter traffic patterns (like Social Security check day or food stamp day, etc.) They are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

In Metropolitan areas, the volume and area increases, but postal processing centers, depots and offices are more prevalent as well. I can't give you a better estimate without knowing where you are. If you're on a mountain top in Colorado with no one around for 60 miles, chances are it may take two days, while if you are in NYC, it may only take one day.

Your package was put into the USPS system in the afternoon of JUN-25 in Suwanee, Georgia. It was only delivered to the USPS International Mail Processing Center in Miami, Florida (USMIAA) after 7PM on JUN-26, and was immediately routed to a truck or plane that is bringing the mail north to Canada. Notice the times on JUN-26. It came in at 7:13 in Miami and it says it left the country at 7:16 the same day. I don't know how fast they were driving or flying, but I doubt you can get to the Canadian border from Miami in 3 minutes! So odds are good that the Miami depot simply flagged the package as having been "routed to Canada" and they updated the tracking right away. Now they may have said it takes 3-5 days to get to Canada, and for the most part that is true. I can drive non-stop from Miami to Montreal and do it in three days if I didn't sleep, stop for gas or food. But three things to consider here: First, if they shipped it by truck (not by airmail), then that package is going to take AT LEAST 5 days to get to Canada. The 3-5 days is always a "best estimate" to make you the consumer feel good. Second, most companies that claim delivery in 3-5 days do NOT include any time that the package must sit at Canada Border Services getting through customs. Canada Post and US Postal Service do not use a private customs broker like the courrier companies do, so the package sits on a shelf somewhere waiting to be either authorized or inspected. Thirdly, the 3-5 days are BUSINESS days. That means MON-FRI, not weekends or holidays. So you ordered on the 25th. They don't include that day, so that makes delivery probably for JUN-30. Since that is a weekend, you get pushed to next week. Since Monday is a holiday in Canada, that means at least no guitar until July 2nd. And that is IF it made it out of USA by then. If not, you have the July 4th holidays to contend with, which means you may only see the guitar as late as Monday July 9th. Contrary to what you may think, it's not necessarily Canada Post that is at fault here. It could be USPS for falsely making you think that your package is already in Canada by saying it left Miami, FL and made it to Canada in 3 minutes, or it could be Canada Border Services holding your parcel because they suspect something illegal may be in it. Did you place a rush service on it or just picked the regular USPS ground service? If they did not guarantee delivery by a certain date, then you pretty much do the waiting game. Have patience...No need to have a Tourette's moment! The guitar will get there when it gets there. It's amazing to me how people are in such a rush these days that they have to track their parcels by GPS from other countries. A pizza delivery guy, maybe. But not an international order that can be delayed by Lord knows what.

We are in a suburb of Minneapolis. The post office where I drop off my mail sends all the mail to the downtown Mpls P.O.
If I drop it in the box by 4pm, it is always delivered the next day to another Mpls suburb. If it goes 60 miles, it usually will take 1 more day, so 1 1/2 - 2 days. I don't know how they do it so fast , but it;s great. We really don't have much to complain about, especially when we only pay .39 Thanks USPS

It could be there next day but it depends on how heavy the mail is for that day...at the very latest it should only take 2 days.
