I want to do some remodeling to my house, but i dont want to hire 10 different people.... basically i want to paint, new carpet and floors, put in a couple new doors, completely remodel my kitchen and redo the cabinets in the bathrooms......

I live in Hoston, Tx in an apartment. The cable service I have is not good - TV Max - but it is the only one that is available to my complex or I could get satellite but I would rather not. Why dont I have any more choice than just one cable company? Is there nothing we as Houston residents can do to fix this problem. There are other cable companies available to other parts (complexes) of the city. Why don't we have the choice - like the phone and electric companies?

I was just wondering if somebody can help me. We are planning on moving to houston later this year and my husband is going to go down there to try and get a job..we are going to try and apply online or call them and let them know we do not live there and when we will be there so he can get an interview..can you tell me what are some good jobs to apply for that pay good...he just has an associates degree from a 2 year college..and he works as an manager at a fast food and he wants to get out of the fast food buisness..he has cash handling exprerience and managment. I was just wondering if there were any other people out there who have been treated badly by Nob Hill Apartments in Houston Texas. I have only lived there a few months and in those months they have done nothing to make me feel at home. For Christmas we had a gas line break or something (they wouldn't tell me the full story) and they took three days to fix it. So from December 23 to 26 residents had no heat because management was too busy enjoying their christmas in a nice warm house. They did nothing to compensate residents for this inconvience and said they will do nothing. Now, they have sent out a very rude notice telling us many things...one of them being "put away your xmas decorations" immediately. Where do they come off being so high and mighty? Why do they have no respect for residents? How can they get away with this? If you are thinking of or do live in Nob Hill apartments I suggest you leave as they care nothing for residents...only their interests are important.
