Page Parkes is good but the Houston sect is more commercial than high fashion however their sister agency in Dallas is more high fashion and once with the Houston agency it is easy to get the Dallas one as well. This is who launched my modeling career and go me to Europe where I really started working

Make your own portfolio with thumbnails and hire an independent agent to represent you, don't bother with the local agencies as they are all scam artists. No agency in Houston has the clout that the ones on the east and west coasts have, and are all "who you know" cliques. You can hire a professional photographer for less than what these "agencies" will charge you, and you own your portfolio. If an "agency" makes your portfolio they own it, not you - even when you paid for it. The model/talent industry is this way, if you aren't connected with someone who is part of it you really don't stand a chance. Think of the A-list names as having won the lottery. Even if you put your face out there by attending or competing in pageants your chances may improve however you will still be approached by sleaze who will tell you stuff you want to hear. Don't be gullible. Not trying to burst your bubble. Try it as a lark and don't put all of your eggs in this basket. You will find that most people in the talent/modeling racket are flaky opportunists, the type who'll steal your thunder for their own benefit. As they say, expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed. When you start high school sign up for drama/theater classes and hone your skills, simply being a model doesn't require any talent. Try improvisational sketch or stand-up comedy, take up creative writing, develop skills that go beyond a walking department store mannequin which is all a model really is Good luck.. EDIT: That doesn't mean he's not a crook. Talent/modeling agents are the lowest forms of life that walk upright and drive expensive cars, next to boxing promoters and trial lawyers. These types of people are skilled in telling you what you want to hear, and have done that time and again to aspiring young women seeking a career in modeling. I'm only trying to save you from being sorely disappointed and ripped off by committing anything to these agencies. Less than 1% are called for shoots and it's never consistent, many that are have real jobs. Not to mention the agent takes a cut, which is standard practice although by signing with one of these agencies you've already paid for the privilege. It's double-dipping at its worst and you can't do anything about it. Asker, set your goals toward practical and realistic endeavors and quit listening to other people's advice about what you should do.

Neil Hamil (Houston)
Page Parkes (Houston)
Millennium Modeling Agency (Sugar Land)
Just so that you are not stagnant in your modeling career, try to join legit talent agencies as well.
There arent too many modeling agencies in Houston that are bonded and licensed. Good luck in your search.

I recommend Neil Hamil and not Page Parks. Neil has been in the Houston Modeling Industry for many, many years and has a reliable reputation.
