My husband had a daughter from a previous relationship that he lost. Her name was Wisteria.

We have two daughters of our own now, and to keep her memory alive for them, I have been thinking about planting some wisteria flowers.

I was wondering what kind of climate these flowers need to survive in and if anyone had some general information about them.

Thanks!

I planted red tip protinia shrubs 2 years ago and am waiting for them to grow up high like the others already in my back yard. I have new ones on a long L-shaped back part of my yard I need to grow up for privacy and noise reasons. What can I plant in front of my shrubs to grow fast and fill in? I'd like the look of a woodland back yard setting. I'm thinking about english laurel. Any other ideas? Something that can stand wet soil sometimes when the rain water runs off of our back yard.

I live in the south in zone 8 and want to add some color to my front yard. What type of flowering perennials would be best? I want something that isn't too tall since I will be planting as a border around my sidewalk. Thanks for any suggestions!

I transplanted some banana trees that had been trimmed down for the winter. They were 7 ft and are now 1.5-2 ft. They all had tiny shoots on them which broke during transport the stalks are now looking very brown and not as green as before. Did I kill them transplanting them. It has been cool here. It is about 40 at night and getting to the late 60's during the day. I live in HOuston so the temp is not an issue in a few more weeks. What can I put on them to fertilized wise to help them along?

i have a Japanese White pine (pinus parviflora)and am usure if it is dead or not all the leaves have fallen off and all the branches are very dry i have snapped one of the branches off and it seems to be no life in them (the branches),

But i have scratched the trunk of the tree and under is like a moist cream color which looks like it may still be alive.
Also i have found a couple of tiny white worm like insects in the soil?

its hard to explain it is as thin as the tip of a needle and about 1cm in lenth i think this may be killing it or am over watering it. (how much water shuld i be giving the bosai as i have been told each bonsai takes different amounts. i live in the uk in liverpool if it helps.
