we have this home made white blanket but it is too heavy to have out for summer and husband dont like it on the bed, for 2 years had it in closet. was thinking of hanging on wall in bedroom for a headboard, like on hgtv. had suggested, but being homemade wasnt sure if it would look right on wall. painted walls light green and the blanket is crocheted. can see holes in the blanket.

One of my plants is a bonsai tree, and the other is a young trumpet vine. We do not have caring neighbors to water them for us.

Left the flue closed while the fire burned for about 15 minutes. Smoke left black soot stains on frame and under mantle. Wood has medium brown stain, so some products (like Magic Eraser) won't work on it.

I have had this aloe vera plant for almost two years and it is currently living in my office right next to a very sunny window. However I've noticed lately that the newer strands (tendrils? Leaves? Stalks? not sure of terminology here) are very thin, very long, and they're strating to have kinks and bends in them as they grow over the edge of the pot, instead of sloping nicely. It's almost like they don't have the strength or durability to grow outwards so they just flop over once they get out too far. I'm worried that those stalks will not have much usable aloe in them (for burns and such).

Anyone know what is up with this or what I should do? I've tried googling aloe vera plant but I haven't come up with anything.

I bought a Ice Maker kit that contains self piercing valve as well as compression fittings. I heard from some people that compression fittings are not recomended why is this..... This seems to be the most popular method of connecting appliances (comrpessions fittings))

I keep them watered with chlorine free water and i fertilize them, what is the problem. it is my Corn Stalk plant leaves and my peace liles. They all have plenty of light. My toilet handle broke; the plastic bar that connects to the chain in the toilet tank snapped. Is there an adhesive I can use to glue it back together (Krazy Glue didn't stick) or shall I replace the whole mechanism? Thanks!

My daughter has this rocking pony that she can ride on. The feet or legs are wood though and whenever she rides it it slides on the carpet. Does anyone know a type of material I might be able to put on the bottom of the wood to keep it from sliding? Thank you in advance for your help!

I don't know what the disease actually IS, but only the MATURE fruit have any noticeable problems. At the bottom of the ripened fruit, it is developing a nickel sized black spot that looks like mold or just plain rot. I sprayed them with a disease control agent and I know it will take care of the problem. But, I would like to know what this disease is called for future reference. Thanks!!

I want to frame a regular roof without the use of trusses because I need the space inside and trusses wouldn't allow me enough room, plus I'd like to leave some of the wood exposed. Also, I don't want to use post and beam type construction. The house is 32x40 and the span will be 32 ft. with a 12/12 pitch and will covered with a metal roof. What size lumber will I need for the ridge beam and rafters to properly hold the roof up? Thanks.

Their is a new product for hanging curtains without using tools or making holes in your walls. It is a slide on bracket for mini blinds that acts like a curtain rod bracket. Has anyone used this, and do you think it really works? www.slideonbrackets.com
