we have this home made white blanket but it is too heavy to have out for summer and husband dont like it on the bed, for 2 years had it in closet. was thinking of hanging on wall in bedroom for a headboard, like on hgtv. had suggested, but being homemade wasnt sure if it would look right on wall. painted walls light green and the blanket is crocheted. can see holes in the blanket.

Hi...you could hang it directly on the wall (especially if you have white accessories in the bedroom...would look great with the green wall coming through) or u could pull it over a board lined with quilting batting (making it cushion-y) for a head board (as they do on HGTV)... but if it's crocheted, make sure the pattern is straight, and don't pull it too tight or it will look funny. Another option: before you pull it over the cushioned board, first cover the board with material that goes with your rooms colour-scheme, then when you put the crcheted blanket over it, THAT colour will come through...BONUS: you can always change that pce of material if you decide to change the colour of your room, without harming the crocheted one :-) Good luck !

That sounds like a good idea, but I'd attach it to a frame of some kind first. Just hanging it on the wall will cause it to stretch out of shape after a while. You could also sew the blanket onto a sturdier piece of cloth and use it as a wall hanging or window covering. Use material that complements the other colors in your room.

I don't think you should hang it on the wall. I think you sould deffinately like put it over a chair or something, and when winter comes you can use it as a blanket to sleep with or for on the couch or whatever.
