When it is empty. If you paint before you move anything in, then painting is a snap -- I painted my entire house in a few days. But if you try to paint after you've moved stuff in, then it's a pain.

I am a professional painter so take my word for it, it doesn't really matter when you paint it just make sure that you use a nice hi gloss paint for all of the bedrooms and sitting rooms. It really helps to hide any imperfections. Also use a flat paint in rooms like bathrooms and kitchen, this will lock in the color better. If this is your first house use a dark paint, the darker the better. Using a dark paint like dark black or pitch black makes the rooms look more inviting and larger. If you make a mistake and drip on your carpets remember not to panic. Wait for the paint to completely dry before trying to clean it. Wet paint is a real pain to clean. Good luck. The best time to paint the inside of any home is fall when you can open all doors and windows to venilate the house!Never paint inside when you cant open doors and windows unless you get the non odor paint.Breathing in paint is hazardous to your lungs and can be dangerous.

Behr, flat latex. i'm assuming that's not a kitchen or tub that would have been painted with tooth if that's an older residing house. I agree that Benjamin Moore is robust (decorators like it), however the shops are demanding to discover. you will get Behr at residing house Depot and that's exceptionally functional.

The best time to paint your house is when you first get there. If there is no flooring that is great but if there is or you have carpeting use blue painters tape and line the floor and then paint!!

tape off everything that isn't going to be painted, lay plastic down on the floor, then paint away using a roller and a brush for the hard to reach areas.

Before you move in. Throw a painting party and go to town on it.

I agree with most other answerer's, paint before you do the bulk of your moving. The more settled you are the house, the harder will be be.

anytime you are ready! Im a painter and i normally just move all the furniture and cover what i cant move, so if you have furniture in there just cover it. If its still in build mode paint now.
