I have a 5 year old dishwasher. The tray has started rusting at areas where the rubber had been rubbed off or worn off. Is there something i can use to paint over it?

I am buying a 3 ton unit and a 2 ton unit for a house at just under 3000sq ft (2 stories). For both units, 15 SEER would cost $2500 more than 14, and 17/16 is $1500 over the 15. $4000 is a lot of money, but I would prefer the lower summer electricity bills (I live in the southern USA). I have heard that you will get your money back within a few years with a higher SEER. I can afford to spend the money now for the higher SEER unit (but will have less money for other projects around the house) I plan to live in the house for 5-10 more years. Should I go ahead with the the higher SEER units? What is the cost to benefit ratio?

she always has an excuse for not helping "I worked 8 hours today." "I had the kids all day." and the ever popular "I forgot." I work 12 hours a day 2 days at work 3 days off then 3 days at work and 2 days off when I'm home I have the kids too yet I still find time to clean but with no help and 2 kids and her making her (more than fair share of) messes too I can't keep up by myself.

I am looking for large bulbs that you would string outside. The type you see in European alleyways. At this point I would rent or buy but I cannot seem to find a wide variety.

I got a leafguard (alcoa leaf relief) installed on my gutters. During hard rain, instead of the rain water going into the gutters, it slides right off and falls to the side. Is this bad in any way for my house?

There is a large oak in the front of the house and it pelts the ground with twigs, leaves, and you name it - this tree sheds it - acorns, bark, and the whole doughnut. I'm in the South - Little Rock - and the soil is not the usual Illinois black dirt that I grew up with... this stuff gets as hard as dry clay tho it looks like a light brown loam to me and it certainly grows bushes and trees and WEEDS very well. The moss is green (or yellow-green according to the moisture in the ground) and I'd call it a club moss if I was forced to give it a specific name. I've tried more water... less water... light tilling and replanting with seed... chemical ferterlizers... I'm about out of ideas. Help.. help.. help. Please.

please help me. When it comes to cleaning stoves I am clueless. I have a self-cleaning stove, and I do not understand how to clean it without starting a fire. I have thought about buying cleaners but all of them say not for a self-cleaning stove. Is there an easy way to clean these types of stoves. I would appreciate any suggestions. Also is their certain types of cleansers like baking soda or something to mix together to help clean my stove. Thanks for your help.
