I found lamps that had these tall red coral branches on the inside of them...I found some real coral branches on Ebay, but they were ridiculously expensive and not nearly as pretty...I found some fake ones like I have in mind in ZGallery for $35 and up, but I was thinking around $10...I've looked at craft stores and jewelry stores...nothing. Please help--I wanna make some of these beautiful lamps!

I have accidentally shrunk some wool clothing in the same manner but I turned a nice, vintage Swobo cycling jersey into a sport bra. What I have now are some very nice silk shirts that are just slightly too large. Does anyone have some practical advice?

Thanks,

Bill

We have an old porch which really should be replaced....but in the meantime, what's the best type of paint for the floor and steps? I have to repaint it every year, and I'm really getting tired of it. It just flakes and peels like crazy. I've used Latex paint, which is useless. Is it worthwhile to use a primer like Kilz, and/or is an oil-based paint really any better? Or is there something else I can do to extend the life of the paint a little?

And what about adding texture to make it non-slip? Should I add texture to the paint, or toss some sand on it before it dries? And hey, will that help prevent peeling too?

My dream is to buy this simple A-frame home with 1050 square feet between the main floor & upstairs level. Square footage is misleading due to the steeply sloping walls; useable floor space measures more like 850 sq ft. +/-.

All holding me back is finding a way to add-on another 500 square feet of space in a simple affordable manner! Want to add 1-2 windows on the steep side walls. There's no basement; this rocky site only allows for slab/crawl space. Roof is new; heavy thick corrugated fiberglass; challenging to cut/frame.

NOW...
Main floor: living area (at front), 8' galley kitchen & full bath+ washer & dryer hookups (in mid-section) & 1 bedrom+closet at the rear.

Upstairs: small open loft 4 feet deep has stairs on right. Beyond this a bedroom+closet.

Home's rear is the view side; looking off a rocky cliff to distant mountains with trees below. At night you see the "city" lights in the valley far below.

ANYONE HAVE AN A-FRAME?

here's the deal... ive been working on my green thumb for cacti growth recently, so far 3 casualties, and 3 still surviving... now i want to move onto a christmas cactus. my mom a few around the house, but she's not so good with them, they look like they are tired and sagging. anyways, i want to steal a piece or 2 by cutting it and replanting it... how do i go about this successfully?

ive already bought some cactus soil and a small pot. i don't want it to grow too big, but to look pretty and bloom, so i will most likely keep it in the small pot, and possibly decorate it...

what are some tips and information i need to know for growing a beatiful healthy christmas cactus?

I need to pare down my wardrobe for sanity's sake, and I would really appreciate some advice as to how to go about doing it effectively. :) I'm a teensy bit of a packrat, which isn't great. Thank you so much!!

I seem to have a lot of spiders and no matter how often I dry mop there are always cobwebs.
Can I simply throw a little glitter up there and say "Decor!!"
