I was about to buy one of those, but I did some research over Internet and I read that you may find yourself attracting more mosquitoes, so you will have more mosquitoes around biting you before the mosquito magnet begins to trap them.

Carbon monoxide is their best magnet and Mosquito Magnets got it.
I woul still recomend a good preventive maintannabce in your yard and a mosquito repelant on your skin.

Yes and no. A lot depends on the placement with respect to your recreation area, and the direction of the wind. Also. you need enough capacity. Because of the wind, some days you will get good results, other days not. It is not a miracle cure.
