I am not a gardner either, but would like some plants in pots around my door and sliding glass door. Could someone suggest the correct kind of plants for the Midwest and direct sunlight. I don't really care what they are, I would just like to putz and have something nice to look at. Thanks in advance.

My sister took the liberty of washing my polo shirts the other day, and she mixed it in with some towels for some reason... and after it was done and dried, I got my shirt back with white spots everywhere.

The white spots are really small pieces of the towel stuck to my shirt.... I tried using that rolling thing with the sticky paper, but it didn't work.

Is there a trick to getting that stuff out?

I'm assuming it's not as good , and will slow down air travelling through it, but it seems a little nicer for getting it by pipes that are there while I'm finishing my basement. Is there something better? Also for the return system, can you just leave an opening through the wall with a grate from the hallway to the furnace room? Does every room need a return duct for air?

I've been wondering this for years. Anytime you drive out in the country and check out the old farm houses, alot of them have two front doors right next to each other. Does anyone have any clue why?

Anyone out there with aboy that loves ninjas? swords? knives?
We are currently moving and I need a new theme for his room and I just cant come up with one. His last room was white and I hand painted Kanji ALL OVER his room! Now he has grown up a bit and loves swords and ninja stuff and knives. And I don't know where to start. He was thinking of red walls which i think is a bit bold. He also said gunshot walls. Big "no" there! He has caninets for his knives/swords. Anyone out there done any kind of boy themed room anything like this and care to share it? Oh, I should add that he has bunk beds and black comforters for those brainstormers. He has 2 large windows in his room and a huge wall length built in dresser like thing too. No clue what to do with it! Its waist high, counter topped, and full of drawers. He has more wall stuff. Not much to put on the counter top. Any ideas would be appreciated if they are serious! Thanks!

I found the seeds under my tree peony. They are very hard shelled and don't seem to have opened over the winter. Is there some special way to plant them to make them grow?
