Does the use of Preen prevent the germination of maple seeds?

As far as I know, Yes. There is a stronger product that you might need to go to a Blue Seal or Agway to get it . It is called BARRICADE. It is also a pre-emergent. It is good for an entire season but I am not sure what the rules in your state are as to who can purchase it!
