Women's Health - November 2007

My mother is 5'7 and my dad about 5'6. I'm 5'1 and I thought I would be taller, but I guess not. I got my period when I was around 10yrs old and I heard about the growing two years after period and then kinda dimming down (yes the two years growth spurt happened to me, not necessairily height).

I'm just wondering if I will ever grow some more, my doctor said at around 14 you're not really supposed to grow that much so I'm thinking that might be it. So what are the chances of me growing to at least 5'4?

And can anyone guess how tall I'm gonna be or how many inches I'm gonna grow?

I don't want it to get messy. We always use protection. Is enema the only alternative? or does anybody know anything else I can do to prevent it from getting messy?

So my period has been acting really weird lately and I am not sure what it is. I went on weightwatchers two months ago. Since then, I have lost 14 pounds. Im 22, and my periods have always been normal. I take my pill at the same time every day. The pill I am on is Levelon. So last month, my perioud was super light. I didn't even have to use a pad or anything. So I took a preg test and it was negative.

So I told my boyfriend we wouldn't have sex until my period was back to normal. So I continued my pill, didn't have sex this month, and now my period isn't even here. I am on the 3rd day of the inactive pills.

Any idea what could be going on? I haven't had any pregancy symptoms except last week I had a soar throat and felt kind of fluish--but it went away after I took some tylonal flu and cold.

I would appreciate any advice from anyone if they have any.

This past month has been very stressful. I have had a lot of stuff on me lately; running our schools homecoming, help my parents run the family business, my senior project (which I must pass to graduate and is very time consuming,) college applications and worrying about whether or not I will be accepted and the normal girl drama.

This is very stressful life for a young lady. And of course, my period is late. It has been almost two weeks late and I know of course that I am not pregnant. But is it because I am so stressed out? I have the worst lower back pain and I thought I was going to start soon, but it has not.

What do I do?

I haven't had my period in about two months. My first reaction was to get a pregnancy test, even though I knew that wasn't going to be the case. Of course, the test was negative....
I went to the doctor a few weeks ago for a pap, and told her a mistake I had made with birth control, in which I took 3 at one time...a huge mistake, I know!
But I still have had no period, could that be the cause??
I'm getting kind of worried.

well i am overweight
i have weird very little acne that will not go away
and i have almost noticable facial hair growth


and i know changing my eating habits and exersize will fix this
but as soon as i do that will the facial hair go away
and will the acne clear up?

my doc prescribed me these and said i would not hve a period at all. i ve been on them for 8 days now and have had my period for 3 days. i am not sure if these are the rite bcp for me. will i continue to get a period if i continue to take these?

Three months ago, I met a wonderful woman who happens to have a disability. Believe me, I only see HER, not her wheelchair! But as "things progress", it's very obvious that we're on the "same page". Already I'm sure she's THEE woman for me. But I'm floundering in deep water with initiating intimacy! My respect for her overcomes my ineptitude, about exactly what would be appropriate and when. She is paralyzed from her waist down (diving accident) since age 19. She's 22 now, and has never "tried anything" since her accident. Went off bc in March of 07, everything was normal, then I had 2 periods in Aug within a 3 week timeframe. I recently found out my iron is very low, I started an iron supplement..will this start my periods again...

Pap smear done a month ago returned some "abnormal cell changes". What does this mean? The woman called to make another appointment for me to come in for more tests. She said it wasn't an STD but said the purpose of these check ups for for cervical cancer and things like it. Cervical Cancer is caused by the STD called H.P.V.

Cell changes can also be caused by yeast infections, which they said I might have & put me on medicine.

But what does this mean & why are the cells abnormally changing?

My 15 year old neice (who is a vigin) was recommended by her doc to get a breast exam and full pelvic because of some issues. She is scared to death. She asked me today whether she would have to be naked in front of a stranger? How do I explain the whole process step by step to her so she isn't so afraid.

I have been thinking a lot recently of getting a breast reduction. They are very heavy and get in the way of many things, such as swimsuits, dresses, dress shirts, etc. I am a 36DD and was wondering if that is not big enough to get a reduction or if I would be eligible? I heard that early morning cardio does allow for more fat burning, is it true? Why?
I also read that the energy will use the fat store during the night, does it means that i cannot eat before excercise?

The outter lips of my vagina are a reddish/purple color. Though, for as long as I can remember, they've been this color. There's no itching or burning, and from what I've read, the discharge I have is normal. I was just curious if the color doesn't match your natural skin color, is something wrong? (I'm a virgin, so I'm not worried that it's anything to do with that.)

Ok, I know this is absolutely disgusting but I have to find a solution to this. My leg hair grows back very fast. Very very fast. If I use cream, it'll grow back in 3 days (instead of a week) and there will be stuble the next day. When I use this european machine plucker,it lasts a week instead of 3 and waxing lasts at most 2 weeks!!!! I'm getting very annoyed with this because waxing hurts so much and I have to do it so often! What's wrong with me? What can I do to fix this? By the way, I can't get laser removal cause 1. I have had a yeast infection(s?) for the past year or so now. I keep getting put on medications that don't do anything. I tried to have a pap done and the doctor couldn't even get the speculum in because the tissue was so swollen and I was screaming. I am not sexually active. What the heck could be causing such pain??
