Hi,

This is not true. The exact reason for the breast cancer is not known. There are certain factors that do not cause cancers by themselves, but make a person more at risk for the development of cancer. These risk factors may be genetic or environmental in nature:

Cancer tends to run in families. The risk for cancer increases for a person if one or more of his family members suffer from the disease.

Genetic predisposition that is, a person may carry genes that make certain normal cells cancerous.

Women who begin menstruating before the age of 12 years or stop after 55 years are more at risk for developing breast cancer.

Women who have not borne children or have had children late in their life (usually after the age of 30) are also more at risk.

Obesity or overweight is a condition that is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer.

Other factors like excessive drinking of alcohol and lack of exercise are also risk factors for breast cancer.

Environmental factors like exposure to harmful radiation, cigarette smoke over a long period of time and pesticides also increases the risk.

In some cases, women who undergo hormone replacement therapy have an increased risk of cancer of the breast.

Myth Myth.

It is a myth. In fact, the American cancer society recommends checking your breasts often for any sign of change--lumps, thickening of the skin, etc for early detection of cancer. You can't know if something is out of the ordinary if you never touch them!

Myth for sure. Do a search on Yahoo or Google or whatever search engine you like and see the many causes of breast cancer for yourself.

Myth of course

trust me it's just a myth, and a ridiculous one at that. Cancer is not caused by touching or everyone would have it.

Wow! I can't believe it! Yes, "touching" the body too much DOES CAUSE CANCER. Why do you think American women have so much breast cancer? (Due to their male companions?)
A grain of sand irritates an oyster, causing a pearl to be formed. In humans, it is a cause of cancer. Leading causes include medication; environmental; diet.
Check with the National Cancer Society.

it is SOOOOO a myth!!!! in fact, you should examine your boobs and get to know them doing a monthly breas exam, so you can prevent brest cancer. you do this so if you feel anything abmormal, you can get it checked out. yes the tissue they are made of is bumpy, but thats normal. brest cancer is caused from a variety of tings including genetics, but touching is not one of them.
