I don't want it to get messy. We always use protection. Is enema the only alternative? or does anybody know anything else I can do to prevent it from getting messy?

From how you phrased the question, are you sure YOU want to have anal? If you think about it and decide you do, there's not a whole lot you can do. But if he's so set on it, he should deal with a little bit of mess. But speaking from experience, I never did any enemas or anything, and it never got messy. It's not like how people think it is, although I don't suggest it to everyone. And honey, if you do want to, which is fine, make sure that you have lube, and that he takes his time, because it can hurt for the first couple of times. Pushing in slow can really help with the pain though, as well as making sure he's at the right angle. Otherwise something could rip (and no, that hasn't happened to me, but it did happen to a friend.). But it really doesn't get messy, so you don't have much to worry about.

I felt the same way as you did but I was really interested in having anal sex with my boyfriend. I just had for the first time last week and let me tell you it was not messy at all! I thought for sure it would smell and be soo gross but there wasnt :)
Just make sure you've gone to the bathroom earlier that day so you're all empty in there, and of course take a shower... besides that it should be fine.
Use lots of lube or spit, and the best thing is to go as slow as you can possibly go... Its the most uncomfortable when hes going in and out, but if he puts it in and kind of moves up and down with thrusting (took us a while to get that technique down) it really didn't hurt at all.

Just make sure you used the restroom recently and don't get too rough or deep and you will be fine.

I agree. It sucks. I just usually say "no, that doesn't feel good for me, sorry" and they just don't mention it again. Most men are more interested in the woman feeling good.. so generally just drop it. I don't know any woman who has liked it personally.
