Women's Health - September 2007

I am hoping someone has had a similar experience and can let me know this is normal........
I have always had VERY predictable periods. Always on time, I could guess the date within 2-3 days. Always last the same time, always the same type of cramping and ALWAYS the same flow.
Until now. I am now 32 and I just started my period almost a week early. That has NEVER happened. And usually my period is light the first day, then the next 2 days heavy then day 4 is very light until the end of day 4. Then I cramp really bad and bleed heavy for about an hour and my period is pretty much done after that. Just spotting for day 5. Well this time it was light day one. Then day 2 it became VERY VERY heavy. Way heavier than normal and has been heavy and a lot of cramping ever since. Also I am going on day 5 of constant heavy bleeding and cramping. and no sign of an end. This hasn't happened to me EVER. Any ideas? Anyone have this happen before? Maybe because I am getting older?

i hate my period so much.. I get cramps at four in the morning and they last one hour each. They hurt so much. It feels like some one is stabbing me nonstop, i would even jump off a building to make it stop. Thats how painful it is. I HATE IT. it makes me so unhappy to be a girl. Its not fair. Gils have to go throught with puberty, periods, birth, while men only have to deal with the pubic hair and the growing. Thats it. Why do women have to go through more pain. men always say they know what its like but they dont, we have to go throught more pain then they do. All that plus u feel icky and slimey and for the first three or four days its a havy flow and i just have to keep on changing and u get those crappy mood swings. Theres really no question, but what are we getting from this. Why cant we just get our periods when we have babies.

I know what day I am going to start my period but I do not know what time I am going to start and I don't want it to get in my underwear so can I put a tampon in on the morning I am going to start even If my flow has not started yet?!?

if its true that sticking things into a vagina cause pleasure, then wouldnt the same be true for a tampon? i remember there is 2 holes, do they stick it in one that doesnt cause the pleasure? thanks :P

I had a procedure done called Essure. This is supposed to be considered a permanent souce of birth control that does not require surgery or hospitalization. It is reversable, but it requires surgery to remove the tubal inserts. I need more information about the reversal procedure, and how much it costs.

Ok mainly backpacks are made for school and carrying all your stuff...How come at my school they wont even allow you to have it. They will take it from you search it Then at end of day you come get it. Then if this happens another time you get a refearl. Is there a way i can take my backpack to school. I mean they give us to much stuff to hold on are own anyways..

In your opinion is it alright for someone to make fun of, abuse, harass, harm or disrespect prostitues and women you would consider to be "hoes"?

I have noticed in todays culture a lot of people think its alright if not expected to do or say abusive things to and or about prostitues, women who sleep around, women who do drugs and women who are in abusive relationships or let themselves be abused by men. What do you think.

by the way i am asking this question in this section because i am especially looking forward to seeing female's opinions on this subject and im guessing this section would be the most likely to get that.

I have had an irregular cycle since the birth of my daughter nearly six yrs ago, but after having my youngest, in 2003 my periods have been really bad.
I was bleeding sometimes 3 weeks out the month although not constant.
My dr has tried everything from the pill, jag, coil and hormone tablets, none having any affect.
I have been having unprotected sex since 2003 with my partner and i have never had another pregnancy. I suddenly stopped in july and havent bled since, I thought I could be pregnant but several test has confirmed I'm not.
Any Ideas what could be wrong?
I have an app at hosp on 12 th sept but I am starting to really stress over this.
HELP!

I was looking at either a tampon with or without applicator. I know people say they love O.B. and others tampax. I am also 15 so i was wondering if a junior tampon would not be good for my flow? I want a tampon easy to use and that is very reliable( i mean extremely) and also comfortable.

I think I have a weird obsession of wanting to look at like magazines of beautiful girls. now before you thinkim a lesbian or something, im definitly not, thats not why i like looking at them. I just like to dream and in a way compare myself to them, and think if i could be that way someday or even put myself down sometimes and say ill never be beautiful. I took the morning after pill after having unprotected sex with my boyfriend, after that I had two normal periods, my third period was expected by august 6th, but didn't come. I've had several at home pregnancy tests and all of them came negative, I went to the gyn two weeks after my missing period and there I had a pregnancy test, it was a urine test also but she said that this one is 100% accurate, it came negative too, and she said not to worry about being pregnant. My period still doesn't come. Now I'm having symptoms like my period is coming but nothing yet. When I go pee, my urine is clear but in the urine I see like mucus with light blood kind of light brown color, and the tissue comes kind of pink. This spotting is similar to the one I used to had during my last days of my period, but it's weird because I haven't had my period yet since August 6th, and when my period comes is usually heavy since the beginning and it doesn't start with light spotting or something. Help!

My period used to be very punctual on the dot. After I had my daughter a year ago my period went out of whack. It varies so much from month to month now that every month i freak out because i think i might be pregnant. I hate wasting my money on pregnancy tests. So has this happen to other women who's a baby?
My cycle varies from 28 days to sometimes 34 days. ITS ANNOYING!

I know the bleeding you get each month while on birth control is not a real period it is known as "withdrawl bleeding." Therefore how would you know if you were pregnant on the pill. Would you still get the withdrawl bleeding?

I had a breast reduction and lift 5 months ago and went from a 42DDD to a 38B. I have lost 45 pounds since the surgery and I feel like my breasts are really small now. My ps says that he can put in some small implants to boost the size up a bit. Have any of you ever had that done? I'm wondering if it's worth more scars and if they will look natural? THANKS!

I was at Shoppers Drugmart (yes canadian) and i was just picking up a box of tampons,pads etc....the razors for men are on the exact same spot and my male teacher who i happen to have a major crush on was buying razors and saw me with 3 boxes of tampons and a bunch of bags of pads!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh!

I have already had sex before. It was a real mistake and am not the type of person who trusts easy. I'm 18 and when i have sex my vagina hurts when it goes in me now i've had the same guys for a while and it didnt hurt before but now when he starts to put it in me it hurts and when i touch the bottom of my vagina it hurts but when i pee it doesnt burn or anything could i have an infection or be pregnant i got checked for stds and all that and i dont have any stds or anything
