how long does your period last?

ive had mjne for 2-3 months now and ive had it 5 days today;; its never been this long. is this normal??

Question: have you just started your period? it is perfectly normal for women to have period lapses right after their first menstruation. Some even even have their second one a year later. that's just normal.

Menstrual periods usually last from 3-7 days depending on the length of your cycle.

But if you have had regular periods before (the normal range of cycle is 21-35 days) and had not had any sexual contact with a male (i have to be specific about sexual partners) or didn't have any contact within these past four months, then you might want to check with your GYNe if these would happen two or three times in a row (the period lapses).

BTW, to count your menstrual cycle, count from the first day of your menstruation to the last day before your next menstruation.

Check also if you observed to have more body hair than the usual and gaining weight rapidly these past few months. If so, you might have some hormonal issues.

do you mean that you had your first period 2-3 months ago? If that's what you mean, it's not uncommon for the first few periods to be inconsistent or a little long and a little short. But having your period for 5 days is normal. I read somewhere that 3 - 7 days is normal. my period lasts for 3-4 days.

no it is not normal to have your period for 2-3months if that is what you are saying. your going to want to go to the doctor as soon as you can to get checked for an infection or to make sure nothing is wrong

if your meaning you've had your period for 5 days and it ended and you don't think that is normal the answer is yes. a girls period can go from 5-7 days and that is normal, mine usually go anywhere from 3-5 days and i also have an irregular period.

Mine lasts 5 days. Most people are between 3-8 days, anymore than 8 days and you should see a doctor.

It depends on the person. It can last anywhere from 5-7 days. I am one of the lucky ones...mine typically last anywhere from 3-5 days. When you're young, 7 days is the norm. Like I said, though, it depends on the person.
