Yes it's normal. The only time it isn't normal is if it's accompanied by a fever, chills, a foul smelling odor from your vagina and or the clots are the size of the palm of your hand. Also watch for excess bleeding. If you have any of those symptoms and are changing your pad/tampon more than once an hour, you are bleeding too much and need to go to an Urgent Care or ER.

it could be normal, its blood clots, but if it was huge, then you need to see a doctor, if you start having them everytime you have your period, then you do need to get it checked out because you could be losing to much blood.

yes, but i don't think it's related to you having gas.
Blood Clots are normal but not everyone has them all the time.

You didn't say where the clots came from. If they were vaginal, then you are OK. If rectal, you have a problem.
