Women's Health - August 2007

I am getting a pap smear, but realized I may get my period that day. I called the office and said they could still do it if it is not heavy, but I am worried it may be. I know I could reschedule, but would rather not since this appointment is important because my last pap was abnormal.
So, just wondering if it is even possibly to postpone.

whenever i have my period and sleep, blood gets everywhere. its soooo gross, like on my pajama bottoms and sometimes on my sheet that im sleeping on. i use big pads for overnight, but they dont stay in place and the blood just soaks through my clothes! should i try wearing a tampon and pad while i sleep?? does this only happen to me?

and i get severe cramps bloating and nausea.its horrible! and i also breakout to the max and I have school soon. I was thinking about taking yaz i know its a birth control pill but it is sopposed to make shorter and less painful periods and help clear some acne. should i take it??

Ok this will be short and sweet!
I'm 2 weeks late for my period - I usually get it beginning of each month, and now nothing so far.
I took a pregnancy test yesterday, however it came back positive.
My stomach is looking a bit bigger, as if I were pregnant, I would be a little over 2 months.
I dont have very many symptoms if I am though, just really bad constipation. Ill go a few days without going to the washroom, and then all the sudden Ill go!
Im thinking about heading to the docs tomorrow just to get a more thourough checkup.

I had to use monistat-1 thanks to a yeast infection, that was 4 days ago. My hubby and I are trying to get pregnant but now I cant bear to have him enter me, it is really painful as though the opening has shrunk. What do I do? Has anyone else had this happen to them?

i have endometriosis, and i was actually wondering if it is possible for me to not have a period, because i think it would lessen pain.

example: i'm on the nuvaring.

if i took my nuvaring out on the 30th, and put a new one in directly after, would that work to stop my period? is it safe?

Bathing does NOT stop the flow of your period. That is a myth. I'm 39 years old, my period never lightened up or stopped b/c of swimming, bathing, or showering.

Starting about 6 months ago I get a watery discharge off and on during the month except during my period. Mostly at night, I will wake up and my panties will be wet, like water...no smell, no color. Also during the day I have to wear a panty liner, and I have never had to do this before. I am only 19. I do not have unprotected sex and it isnt colorful or smelly. Is it an infection or bacteria or is it normal? Please and thank you.

okay well first someone called my house at like 7:30 but the message was nothing but crackling. then someone called just barely and the message was nothing but crackling on the asner machine, yesteday i called my home phone and left a message and it crackled a little cause i used my cell phone. ok well on July 15th i had my period for the 1st time and well today is like day 40. I know that you get it agin after 28 days but this is 40 school starts tomarro and of course watch ill get tomarrow morning lol main point is why is it taking so long and how do i no if its coming, thanks in advance
