I have a bad case of strep throat. I got a perscription of antibiotics, plus 3 steroid pills I had to take all at once to make the swelling go down. I also am taking birth control pills. The doc says to take 3 antibiotic pills a day, morning, noon, and night. And they are kind of big pills. I'm really worried about getting a yeast infection. How likely is it that I will get one because of all these meds? What can I do to try and prevent this? Any tips?

I have seen a doctor and she suggested that I carry on taking phyto-estrogen and pills which both could not counter-react. However, my hotflashes still comes back, a friend of mine asked me to go and see Chinese doctor, I am not sure, can anyone help????? THANKS VERY VERY MUCH FOR ANSWERING THIS....

had a REALLY bad headache when she got home,no antibiotics helped
the seziures were all in one day
she had a cesarean
she had placenta previa
no case of epilepsy

*i thought the doctor said she was positive for hep. C but i dont think so i think i just heard wrong

ok, so i had a baby a year ago and i am still nursing but only at night and tonight my son put some wieght on my boob and it hurt so i felt arround on it and there is a lump. it is about half a walnut big close to my rib cage. it doesnt move and it isnt really round. it is tender. im pretty sure it isnt a clogged duct, im not engorged at all and i had that before and this is different. i plan to go to the doc asap but have any of you had this? what was the outcome?

Any ideas on how to minimize the pain? It's so bad that sound, light and movement makes my stomach hurt worse. I am sick in the bed for 3/7 dayz of my period. HELP!!!

is there anybody here who knows somebody with the same experience? before i went out of the country two years ago my moms breasts is bleeding like when you are breastfeeding a baby that the milk automatically comes out of your breast. my mom is in her early 50's and her breast is bleeding occationally for a couple of years. she's afraid to go to the doctor and we don't know what's wrong with her. and sometimes she feels pain on her breast. i told her before to see the doctor and now it's all the same and i'm away from home. i keep on telling her to see the doctor. what do you think it is? and what's the casue? i want to know please help?

When I try to pull them out its painful and leaves an ugly scar. My obgyn said it was from shaving but I stopped shaving almost 8 months ago and I still get them. Is there a better alternative to disecting and pulling them out. I want my vagina to be pretty again.

I started taking Desogen birth control pills on day 3 of my cycle. I have never taken BCPs before. I feel cramps like I am ovulating though. I have been feeling this way for a couple of days now, and I am on day 15 of my cycle.

I've been on birth control for the past few months and the pain is horrible! I've gained at least 10 lbs, cramps during my period are unbearable, its an extremely heavy flow, my breasts have grown an entire cup size, and my temper is bad! Has anyone else had these problems?? I thought BC was supposed to eliminate bad periods :(

Lately, I have been enduring a ton of stress. I just got kicked out off of my mom's house and am now living in my school's dorms with my boyfriend. I fell behind in my studies and I am trying hard to catch up.And now, I realized that I am a few days behind in my cycle and I am not certain if the stress that I have been suffering from is to blame...or is it a possibility that I could be pregnant?

I'm not good at pills...I'll get myself knocked up because I'll forget to take my pill everyday :-/ At least I can accept my weaknesses :) Tried Depo Provera (nightmare)...I bled for 3 months, so I did not take another shot because I did not want to risk what was going to happen next. Tried Ortho Evra (great)..but I had skin blemishes as a side effect (eczema type side effects). Anything else out there with low enough estrogen not to effect my body, but not a "daily" pill??

Is it normal for my period to be a lighter flow than usual and last for 4 days then it stopped for 1 day and came back the next with the same light flow for just that day. My period wasn't really suppose to come this month because it comes every other month. It came this month on the 20th and i had my last period last month on the 12th. I am 17 years old.

sorry for graphic details, but i don't know any other way to explain this... ok... my pd was supposed to start on/around the 17th of feb... there was no sign of it until the 25th of feb... i've not had intercourse since december and had my pd in january so i shouldn't be pg... usually i notice a little blood the first day of my pd and then the 2nd-4th days are the heaviest... today is the 2nd day and my pd is so light that it's barely passes the qualifications of just spotting... i've had my pd for 7 or 8 years now and i know being late is "normal" but i don't remember ever having this light of a pd... the week before i "started" i had pains in the lower left side of my abdomin when i went to the bathroom and/or strained... is this normal? i don't feel comfortable asking people i know, so i'm hoping someone here can help me...

I've noticed that since i've started taking birth control that i've gained about 5lbs. i've very short so gaining 5lbs is quite notiable. is there any other types of birth control that dont have this side effect? Is it average for a woman to gain that much on the pill. It sucks!
