Is it normal for my period to be a lighter flow than usual and last for 4 days then it stopped for 1 day and came back the next with the same light flow for just that day. My period wasn't really suppose to come this month because it comes every other month. It came this month on the 20th and i had my last period last month on the 12th. I am 17 years old.

did you just get your period in the past year because mine was really irregular too. but after about a year mine seemed to become regular. don't worry to much about it, because its totally normal to have an irregular period when your in your teen years

it is not normal, i think it may be lack of iron--low blood pressure... my younger sister had something like what you experience, only worse... comes very irregularly, once every few months and the flow was always light... she ended up in hospital because of anemia, extreme low blood count... you should take more iron and read up about what you should do... and maybe for a start go and have a health check-up :) i'm sure you'll do fine if you watch your food intake and drink sufficient WATER (not soft drinks) daily... my period is pretty irregular too, though i have a normal flow... just can't gage when it comes... and i'm in my early 20s already!!!

Because you have been having your period for 6 years now it sounds like something is going on so I would recommend seeing your dr to check things out.
