I don't get a period on my own, so my doctor prescribed Ortho Trycycline Lo to force a monthly cycle. Ortho caused me to have regulated, lighter periods. After seeing an advertisement for Seasonale, I asked my doctor to switch my prescription because four periods a year seemed far better than twelve. During my last month of taking Seasonale I became sexually active with my fiance and decided to switch back to Ortho so I would get a period every month and not have to wonder if I was pregnant. When I called my doctor to have her switch me back to Ortho, she forwarded a presciption for Tri-Sprintec to the pharmacist, instead. For the past three months, my periods have been irregular. I have period-like symptoms and am overly emotional a lot of the time but I normally don't start my period until all of the active and inactive pills are gone. In November my period was a full week late and every month since then it has been late. Anyone else have periods that were out of whack like this?
