I am going to take an educated guess and say that you use commercial pads such as Always or Kotex - that is your problem.

Commercial pads are full of chemicals that they use to make their pads whiter, the absorbant gel they use inside of pads is also full of chemicals that can irritate your skin, particularly if you have sensitive skin or you are young.
Commercial pads are also made from synthetic materials so as well as the harsh materials irritating your skin it also means these materials prevent air getting to your vulva so make your groin hot, moist and generally not very happy.

Organic pads are an option, these are disposable just like commercial pads but they are made from 100% organic cotton so allow more air to get to your vulva, they also do not contain any chemicals that can irritate your skin.

Cloth pads are another very good option, these are reusable so it also means that they are cheap and environmentally friendly, you can also get them in all sorts of funky colours and patterns.
These feel a lot more comfortable than disposable pads because they are cloth just like your clothing or underwear, they allow for a lot more air to get to your vulva and don't contain chemicals.
You can also get a lot of different types of cloth pads, from normal pad shaped through to g-style pads or pad belts similar to what your grandmother may have worn that stay next to your body and padded panties that are just like underwear but with a pad built-in, you can even make your own pads how you like them.

Menstrual cups are internal like tampons but a lot healthier than tampons, as well as cleaner, environmentally friendly, cheap, convenient and comfortable, they can be left in for up to 12 hours at a time, worn at night and worn before your period is due.
Menstrual cups don't cause cramps like tampons do because they don't negatively affect your vaginal health, and tampons expand adding to bloating and expand into the cervix, something that menstrual cups do not do.
You can also get softcups that are a type of menstrual cup but they are disposable, still a lot healthier and more convenient than tampons, but unlike normal menstrual cups they sit further up inside your vagina and they are disposable, although they are a little messy compaired with normal menstrual cups.
Menstrual cups offer money back guarantees, so you can try them and send them back if you don't like them – very few women send theirs back.

It sounds like you have very sensitive skin. If you haven't already, try pads that are unscented. Using a topical ointment like Benadryl cream or hydrocortizone cream may help by minimizing any irritation. Change your bad frequently, as moisture can increase the irritation. Same thing with tampons, unscented only and try using the smallest size. Most importantly, talk to your doctor. We are all built differently and have different problems with female sanitary items. Talking to your doctor may be hard to do, we all get embarrassed sometimes. But this is a health issue and you really should let your doctor know of any problems or concerns you are having.

This is really going to sound really stupid. Before the bulky pads, people used to use baby diapers. Now they have sizes for premature babies. You could try that. Told you it would sound crazy. The cramping from the tampons, could come from using the wrong absorbency. Try the slenders. They might not give you cramps. Depends on how heavy your flow is.

Don't use tampons! you can get bacterial vagioses that causes bad oder and you can risk getting a very rare fatal disease and your body needs to flow tampons block you. I am very sensetive I use Feminine wash, lotions and stuff because like you I get alergic reactions, itchy, and swelling, cramping...gross just stop using them and use pads it's just a cuple of days. And it your alegic dont douche!... it can give you a yeast infection. Oh I didnt read the part about the pads sorry...then ummm.... dont use sented ones...those can cause rashes ... try baby powder before you put one on that works sometimes.

Tampons cause toxic shock syndrome and considering your sensitivity to sanitary napkins you should not try any of them. Some sanitary napkins are scented which may cause an allergic reaction. Try a sanitary napkin labeled "unscented" "fragrance-free" and/or "hypo-allergenic" and changing it more frequently because it may be "diaper rash" which is caused by excess moisture sitting on the skin for too long. You could also try "unscented" "fragrance-free" and/or "hypo-allergenic diaper rash creme on the breakout areas before, during, and after break outs.

Make sure the pads you're using are unscented, first. Try using ones that have a 'cloth' or napkin like cover instead of the plastic type cover. You'll have to actually feel them to tell. Make sure you're changing it frequently enough.

first of all try using the unscented pads.. that's probably a big problem there. you may be allergic to the deodorant that it's them. Also with tampons.. try using Tampax slim pearl. they are smaller than regular.. they won't hurt as bad. if all else fails, contact your physician.

yeah so...just a word of advice...when you put something like "girls only" in the subject, thats naturally gonna attract guys...but dont worry i'm no pervert or anything...lol
but seriously though...i am studying to become a doctor...you want to stay away from the cheap stuff and if indeed you have "tried them all" then you want to see a doctor. They can prescribe special stuff...medications...ect.

Check and see if your pads are scented...thats all I can think of...or wear looser underwear so the pad doesn't rub against you, don't play sports with a pad on either because it might be rubbing against your vigina and irritating it. this must be horrible for you! good luck!!

I would say call your Gyno, I agree..try always ultra with wings, they are VERY thin, and shouldn't give you a problem. Tampons can cause severe cramps, and make you bleed harder.
