Has anyone recently had a brest reduction like in the past months or so if so can you please tell me how you felt after and what you did to help speed up your healing process? I am actually going in Feb. 20th to get the surgery, my breast size is 34 JJ so I know there is a lot of work to be done and I just wanted to know if it is so painful to the point were I might have to have someone watch my 2 years old daughter she is very active and can be a handful at times so I know most likely the first few days I might need help with her but for about how long? Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.

I just had a breast reduction about four weeks ago.I am able to pick-up my puppy and hold babies but I have not attempted to lift anything super heavy. The best way to keep your healing process moving is to take it easy. Meaning you won't be able to pick up your daughter or lift you arms over your head. You will probably want help with your daughter for a couple of weeks. The main key is REST REST REST.

I had my breast reduction surgery done Feb 20, 2006!!!

You won't be able to pick up your daughter for a good month, you need to not lift things for a few weeks as you just had major surgery times two. Its not that it is painful, but you DO need to take it easy for a good few months. No vacuuming, heavy laundry, nothing major.

I was a 38J to a 38C, so good luck to you in your surgery!

The surgery itself is not painful, but, your recovery will require you to have someone look after your child. You will not be able to lift or carry any thing for a few weeks until the surgery heals. Good luck.

Breast Reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
