Women's Health - December 2006

I am a healthy 19 year old woman. last time i was at my doctor's she told me that if i wanted to have children in the future, that i should start taking a woman's daily vitamin (not prentatl ones, just normal women's vitamins). What affect would me tkaing or not taking vitiamins now have on any children i might have in the distant future? i don't understand why i would have to take them now.

i have never had kids, but my doctor recommended iud because i have factor v blood disorder and can't take estrogen based BCP. i feel pain on one side only. advil is not helping. my doctor keeps telling me to take advil and it will go away. i am starting to get worried...

I miscarried once and had an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy once. The guy that I miscarried with was very rough with me in bed. I just feel that he caused some damage. I never had an STD either. I actually thought it would becaome easier to deal with as I got older, but it hasn't. I have a hard time in relationships where the man has kids. I feel so left out. Anyone else ever felt this way? Invitro was way too expensive so I had to accept my fate.

I developed bulimia right before turning 13. It slowed my growth to an inch per year and I never got my period. I think it stunted my growth because everyone in my family is much taller than I am (my mid parent height is 2 inches taller than I) I am eating healthily now, calcium supplements also. Did I stunt my growth, and if I did, can I catch up?

I've heard rumors that if a girl has sex for the first time, usually it's not so much fun the first few times, but I have also heard that if a girl waits at least a year without sex, her vagina goes back to it's virgin size. Is this true?

If you have a Bladder, or Urinary tract infection, and you go to the doctor, can they tell that you've had sex?

If you have to give a urine sample..or something, can it be linked to sex?

I got the "shot" and I wanted know how soon you would start to feel the side effects. When I got it I felt dizzy shortly thereafter and had a headache but once I went to bed it was fine. What's up with the decrease in sex drive? How soon will you gain weight? So far my appetite has been the same

I am very concerned I may be pregant, but I never actually had sex. See my boyfriend and I were fooling around and he pre-cummed a little, and then a lil later(about 4 mins) he started to rub his penis around the outside of my vagina. But then afterwards he fingered me. I am so scared I am pregant, and I don't know what to do. Ive been on the pill for 5 years now, only had one scare! But...just lately i have been carrying on as usual but for some reason i have managed to have 5 periods this month!!???!! Im well confused!
So, im thinking about having the depo needle as its driving me crazy!
Does anyone no anything about it or side effects???

Last month I had a *wicked* case of PMS. I felt psychotic. I hated everything and everyone around me. I was extremely negative and nasty. It got to the point where I couldn't even stand myself! The ironic thing is that I started taking Evening Primrose Oil which is supposed to help PMS. It did not. I had the worst PMS I have had in a long time..there was a full moon too..I think that made me even nuttier! Does anyone else lose thier minds with PMS? This doesn't happen every month but when it does it's awful and I tend to do things I regret later because I react emotionally, often very angry and say really mean stuff, especially to my boyfriend. I do not want to take the pill. Is there any remedy that can help me?
