yes. . . but it depends on the woman as much as the man. . . biologically, all women should be able to reach orgasm, but studies suggest that less than half do. while obviously there may be some technique issues, most women are more mentally and psychologically stimulated. men typically need a hole and a heartbeat, and sometimes not even that, but recent studies of brain stimulation prove that women access a different part of their brain when they reach orgasm compared to men
therefore, if said woman is not reaching orgasm during her menses it may be more because she's bleeding profusely and not exactly feeling her sexiest.

Every women is different. I dont see why she couldnt have one on her period. Maybe she just says that because she feels uncomfortable having intercourse while she's bleeding like many women would agree.
* I was reading through the bible one day and read that it was a sin to even approach a woman for sexual needs while she was on her period. Just thought that was funny and I'd share that little tid bit.

A woman can have an orgasm anytime,even when pregnant! Your girlfriend just might not like doing it while she's on her period!

Yes... It's not the most convenient time though. Orgasms also release hormones that will make the cramping better, talking about advantages.
