its possible to get a false negative (saying neg when actually positive) but impossible to get a false positive! Id say if u got it from poundland, it could be wrong! try boots, or your docs 4 a more accurate result!

Pregnancy test are not always accurate...It has to be enough of the hormone to get a positive result and if it's to early to take the test then your only going to get a negative result . If you want to know for sure go to the doctor to do a blood test...This is the most accurate way and it can tell you no matter how far along you are.

Yes, they can be wrong but percentage is very low. I suggest you go to your doctor. They can do a blood test that will definately give you a true answer. Just tell your dr that you want the blood test even is the urine test comes back neg. I used to work for a dr and they use the same urine test you buy over the counter. It also may be to early for the urine test to show positive. The blood test will show positive at anytime.

It's possible you could have tested to early, tests are generally more accurate after a first missed period. Also, some home tests are mosre sensitive than others, it could be that the one you used is simply less sensitive and couldn't detect the hormone levels. My advice would be to go to the doctors and get a test done there, but if you're going to try a home test again remember that they are more accurate after you're due on.

Preg tests are a one way bet. Negative (if used within the time limits they indicate) normally is really a negative, but can be wrong. A positive is definitely a positive though!

You can get a false negative BUT never a false positive.

The doctors can do a blood test if you are convinced you are pregnant. This will show up a positive result before any HPT.

Good luck!

Definitely. Even the best ones can be wrong everytime you test. Get a blood test done by a doctor if you're worried. Believe me... my daughter's almost four now.

they can always be wrong when it says negative

they are always right when it says positive

its easy for the test to not detect the hormone in your urine, if you think you are pregnant, wait a few more days and use EPT or first responce, they are the best

good luck

Yes they can be very wrong. you should go to the doctor and get tested. Don't trust over the counter EPTs, always trust your gut instinct.
