Women's Health - August 2006

I keep experiencing these little "tugs" in my lower abdomen that feel a lot like someone pulling taffy inside of me. It's not a "pain" persay, just a nagging sort of tugging. That is the only way that I can describe it. We had had nightmares conceiving and finally it's worked. I am excited and yet find that I can't really even be happy yet for all the fears I have of something going wrong. I am completely, and irrationally perhaps, afraid of it ending up being an eptopic pregnancy, or having a miscarriage before the 12 week mark, etc. I have read that it's somewhat normal to feel strange things down there as the uterus begins to change, etc. I was just wondering if anyone has had this experience and could shed some light on it for this first time mom. Thanks.

well i read other questions about the check up or the exam and i sorta of understand...not really if someone could tell me what happens, but really what i want to know is that Im a young girl 14 and i bet that you're probably thinking that i dont need to go see a gynecologist (apparently from someone's anwser who said you should see one if you're 18 and older) but what if i think i should see one anyways. im guessing at my age it would be different. the reason i want to see a gynecologist is because well....I have questions about ...that area (yeah i cant really be more mature about this) anyways i wanted to know whats wrong with me. plz tell me what you think and ur advice and just in case so you know i havent had sex yet really dont want anyone thinking that i did at my age.

stomach and I have had it for three years already since I was 13 and this year is when it's started to make my stomach hurt more. Sometimes I feel like barfing but I don't. Why? I don't have any diesiese that I know of and I am fine.

i had sex with my boyfriend 2 weeks ago and also yesterday in the afternoon, but last night(the same day i had sex) i started my period. or am i spoting? how would i know the difference? i'm leavin off to college in 3 weeks and i know if i don't wanna be pregnant i shouldn;'t have sex, will, without a condom. i know all this now so have patience with me

Sometimes I really prefer to keep to myself when at work. I'm a very friendly person and will talk to anyone I meet, I never get nervous for that. I like socializing, but the older I get, the more I want to spend in my own little "world" (if that's what you want to call it). It kinda makes me feel weird cause I have this expectation from everyone to be the outgoing person I once was. I am happy the wya I am right now and don't want to change it. In fact, I love being in my own little "world". I'm very imaginative and day dream a lot. I'm NOT depressed and am in love with life. I'm so thankful everyday I am alive. I'm a very optimistic person. It is weird that the older I got, the less extroverted I am? I feel like I have to live up to that and I don't want to...what advice could you give for me?

I know there is a similiar question up, but my problem is that only one of the lips is red and itchy and swollen, and I had to wake up in the middle of the night to find it out. Where did this come from? Can this be an yeast infection? or could it be something else??? mine is just extremely red and swollen.. But not the whole thing just one lip!!!! what do I do
