from the 1st day it starts. and since its your 1st period, its going to be irregular for a while so be prepared, but it is a good idea to start counting days and keep track.

An average cycle lasts for 28 days, and the first day of a period is the beginning of your cycle. So, you should expect your next period 28 days from the 19th of July (16th August). However, all women's cycles are different, so if it comes a little earlier or later than this, don't worry.

If you have just started getting periods, and you don't get another one when you expect it, this is no cause for concern, because sometimes it takes a while for periods to become regular.

Not to negate a few of the other answers, but I'm pretty sure your cycle is from first day to first day. So on the first day you start your period, start counting and in about 28 days if you're regular, you should start your next one. (So, it would be more like 23 days from the end of your period to the beginning of the next one)

It always worked for me. I put an "X" on the date in my checkbook when I start one period, and like clockwork my next "X" (when I start the NEXT month's period) is 28 days after that.

You start counting from the first day of your period!
So your next period should be due on August 15th - providing you are blessed with a regular 28 day cycle!

The first day of your period is day 1 of your cycle. Your cycle lasts from first day of one period to first day of next period.
