open your mouth and let it dry for some minutes try it like 3 or 4 times a day is because the saliva have bacterias and those are the ones that don't let you heal

depending on the severity...if not too deep, then rinse with warm water, and add salt if you can bear it... and try drinking lots of soups and have a lot of Popsicles or ice chips anything to numb the area...
