I went to go donate blood today, and they ended up turning me away for a pulse of 109

I am a teenager and I am 6ft tall and weigh 145lbs.

I dont play sports or anything, but I'm skinny. I notice that I somewhat have low stamina so running is a pain in the butt!

Sometimes when I'm in air conditioned rooms, my hands are very cold so they're unpleasant to touch.

Am I unhealthy? Should I go to the doctor to get checked out or something? and If so, what kinds of tests should I have them run on me?

I was talking to my friend today and she was telling me that she got light headed and almost blacked out. I told her this happens to me, it used to happen everyday. She said I wasn't getting enough nutrients. Is this what it is?

As we develop more solutions to today's health problems, we interfere with the process of survival of the fittest, reducing the quality of the gene pool. At some point in the future, the pace of drug development might not be able to keep up, and more people will die than we can save with drugs. Has anybody ever calculated when this might be?

I ask this more for a personal reason than for debate. You see, I am nineteen years old, young but still an adult. I was involved in a rather terrible car accident about 10 years ago, and ever since I have had chronic pain that grows and fades in intensity from a "3" up to an "8". The only thing that helps at all are opioid painkillers. I have tryed chiropractic care and other sorts of homeopathic remedies, to no avail. However, whenever I go to a doctor, either a general practitioner or a pain specialist, they refuse to give me the only meds that work. Upon asking some, they said that I am too young to risk addiction. I would gladly be addicted to opiates for the rest of my life if it means I can be out of this pain.

So, if anyone can tell me what I should do to remedy my situation, I would be greatly thankful.

--I am not a junkie. Just because I'm young, it disqualifies me from receiving adequate pain treatment. What a horrible state to live in, yes?

I'm a long time dieter. Over the past few years I've lost a lot of weight and kept most of it off. 3 weeks ago I started dieting again (I count calories, I never go below 1400 in one day) to lose those last few pounds. But this time it's not going well. The first week was fine, but since then I've been pretty sick. I can't get full. If I eat less than 3000 cals, I'm so hungry that I get faint, I shake, I'm dizzy and nauseous. My fingers are really swollen. I'm extremely exhausted. I'm sure it could be unrelated, but considering everything I think it is probably related to the dieting. Any thoughts?

A marble sized hard lump right below their ear- and at the angle of the jaw bone? I had a ct scan today ordered by the doc. I also have two VERY small lumps on the back of my neck right at the hair line. I was wondering if anyone else has had this or knows someone with this and what it was? I wont have results till next week and I am just wanting some feedback from other people...thanks!

about a day and a half later. i now have a slight headache all day (about 3 to 3 1/2 days after the day i had the tampon in)...like a light migraine. i'm just concerned that i may have tss but i'm not sure if they're completely unrelated.
i had a cold so the first day i put the tampon in i had a sudafed on a semi-empty stomach (i hadn't eaten in three hours) and had very bad cramps. when i threw up an hour after i put the tampon in (a half hour after taking the sudafed) i took it out asap.
i thought there was no cause for concern ...the slight temperature two mornings after seemed too slight.
but now i have a slight headache ...slight, as well, but i'm becoming concerned that this may all add up to something big.
should i be concerned or does it seem that they can all be explained away and that i don't need to call a doctor?

...note that i have been using tampons for about a year now for about 4-5 hours at a time without incident so far (knock on wood).

for the past 3-4 days I have had this feeling of my pulse in my neck even when I am not touching it. My only conclusion is either stress or hypertension(my bp is a bit high at 145/81) im 19, and understandably a bit young for problems of this nature. but I just wonder if it is a problem i should see my doctor about? my parents claim i am being a "pussy", but it is a serious concern for me.

I was talking to my girlfriend about butts and a strange question popped in my head. Does everyone wipe they're butts the same way??? well i asked her and we wipe in totally different ways. I bend over to my left, reach under, and wipre from back to front. She goes between her legs and wipes front to back. Am I the only one who wipes like this? or does everyone have their own unique way to wipe?
