amitriptyline is used by my mother who is blind and it causes her to see and speak to people who are not there, these imaginary people are usually dressed in gray and dont acknowledge her when she interacts with them, anyone have side effects like this?

im really depressed have been for 6 years have had coucelling and have been on tabs but i wont take them coz im trying to do it alone, if anyone has suffered from depression and is better now let me no coz im fed up and cant see my life being any different than what it is now, i really cant cope anymore

My mom will say something insulting my dad or someone else, and when I call her out on it immediately, she says she didn't say it, that I hate her, and am putting words in her mouth. She basically lives to complain about people and things, and STILL complains about people that insulted her or didn't get along with her 20 or 30 years ago! And she is always so pessimistic... recently, she said her foot hurt and that maybe it was a blood clot and God was going to take her that way. When I sarcastically said that was a positive way to think, she said I would be happy if she died. I asked her when I had ever said that she said I had said "something to that effect", but eventually said she couldn't remember when I pressed her on it. It really feels like emotional abuse because she is just so depressed and bitter, yet anytime I says she needs help, she accuses me of hating her, lying about her, and always being against her. What is up with this?

I do not suffer from ADHD, or any kind of attention deficit disorder. I just want one of these drugs for superior concentration when I head off to the university this fall. What kind of a doctor would prescribe me such a medication? Do you think that he/she would do it if I make it known that I don't have ADHD? Thanks.

I ma actually happy with the lexapro at 20 mg since I dont seems to get real angry or upset but I am still getting depression and a little of anxeity. Since it is so hard me to find things that work I kinda dont want to mess with the Lexapro Since I do see a positive change (so does my wife LOl)and maybe just add something else. Any suggestion on what I should suggest to the doctor as an additive, like welbutrin or strattera or something...I dont know. Thanks for your help

I know 90% of social security applicants get denied the first time, and I know why. But, I heard that it is easyer to get it for mental disabilities than physical. Do you think this is true and why? I included ALL my disabilities including: ptsd, bipoler, depression, anxiety, DDD, and herniated disks.
The case worker only allowed me to give information for the last years medical visits and not information from the past 4 years concerning my disabilities. Is that right?

Here lately I have horrible mood swings. I will be sittin at work and will think of something that has happened but hasnt bothered me at all, and all of a sudden it will become a big issue and I will get emotional. I tend to take it out on my b/f and when he wont help me out or give me advice I freak out on him and tell him he just doesnt care about me and he just makes it worse. I have wondered if its bipolar, depression, or somethin else. If you have any ideas please let me know.

I have a MS in geology but can't find a job in my field. I work in a security job that doen't even require a HS diploma. In college I feel in love with a wild, daddy's girl who used drugs and jumped in bed with everyone and anyone. I was drugged and raped by a bunch of scum bags. That was over 20 years ago and still causes me much pain. I've had acne since I was 13 and have low self esteem because of the acne, it just does not go away, and doctors don't help. I am so lonely for female companionship that I want to cry.

I've had the same dream atleast three times in the past two months. In the dream, i wake up because of a loud noise. I walk into my living room and look out the window to see thousands of copies of myself standing outside staring at me, with the surroundings in flames. Anyone have any idea what this dream could mean.

one day i will be happy for no reason..next day il be depressed and sad...what can i do about this?..is there some sort of medication to keep me "happy" all the time?..cause when im sad and depressed it makes me think of slaughtering innocent people

Sleeping pills don't work, I've tried drinking, smoking a little Mary Jane, meditation and absolutely nothing works. I've been averaging 4 hours of sleep every night for 3 weeks - I'm so tired yet I can't sleep.

i know that when you kick you can get deleriouse and i dont know how to deal with these mental dissorders let alone the drugs, its not about a rehab or anything because i do want to go, but the halucinations anger and hostility are hard to cope with

im 19, however i love remembering my childhood, i love to listen to my favorite cartoon theme songs, i listen to a lot of songs that remind me of my childhood.... what does this mean??
