Amitriptyline can cause hallucinations, even in low doses.

Symptoms of an amitriptyline overdose include seizures, confusion, drowsiness, agitation, hallucinations, and low blood pressure (dizziness, fatigue, fainting).

Doses should be reduced if taking cimetidine.

Elavil is not known to cause what you're describing. The most common side effects are drowsiness (sometimes it's prescribed as a non-addictive alternative to conventional sleep medications) and some difficulty urinating. Given that you've been having headaches and are now having these symptoms, I would say get to a doctor, preferably a neurologist, explain your symptoms, and have them looked into as soon as possible. You can't affort to play around with this. See a doctor.

Look it up on the net. There are some really good sites for meds. Better yet, call your doctor
