I do not suffer from ADHD, or any kind of attention deficit disorder. I just want one of these drugs for superior concentration when I head off to the university this fall. What kind of a doctor would prescribe me such a medication? Do you think that he/she would do it if I make it known that I don't have ADHD? Thanks.

Strattera wouldn't even help as it doesn't improve concentration in people who do not have ADHD.

Ritalin does improve concentration in the general population, but taking it for this purpose would be substance abuse, and no doctor would prescribe it. You're not going to get a prescription for it unless you have documented ADHD, which you do not, and will not have. Distrubting a Schedule II controlled substance to people who do not have a legitimate medical need for it is a criminal offense under the Controlled Substance Act. It's essentially drug dealing, and can be prosecuted as such in criminal court, which is why no doctor is going to prescribe it to you.

It relies upon on in case you have ins. or no longer. Ritalin has a generics obtainable so it is going to likely be greater cost-effective maximum probable 30 to 40 dollars. Strattera is a style call in basic terms and money cost around $one hundred forty for Strattera 40mg #30. A plus for strattera is which you dont would desire to get a sparkling script from the wellbeing care expert each and each month such as you do with ritalin, yet ritalin is plenty greater cost-effective

ADHD medications are only given when diagnosed with the condition. These drugs are considered controlled substances and are under strict guidelines for prescribing. Most of these medications don't have the same effect on individuals without ADHD as for those with the condition. College students believe that these drugs will help them to concentrate and for the most part, many abuse the drug and some become addicted.
Why not try a diet to aid in your concentration or some of the over-the-counter vitamins, etc.

there is no point in taking it for superior concentration because if your not ADHD/ADD all it will do is send you on a high and you will be the opposite to what someone with adhd is when they take it. Sorry but find something else to help you as this will not.

Maybe you do have ADHD if your thinking about concentration? Try a low dose of ritalin and see how you react.
