How to tell if a hospital is private

I had my gallbladder taken out in Feb 2004 and I still have massive stomachaches. After my surgery it wasn't so bad but up until the last 6 months I've had extreme stomach problems such as alot of gas, abnormal belching (if I wanted to I could burp the abcs without stopping bad), headaches, nausea and bloating. Its like I can't eat most foods that I could eat before such as dairy, most veggies, eggs, spicy stuff, etc. I'm half korean so I have always been used to eating extremely spicy things, but lately, difficult. When I had my gallbladder taken out it was when my father passed away but my stomach was fine afterwards but now its gotten pretty bad. On some occasions, such as a month ago I got really ill and extremely bloated with gas that I could feel the gas moving around in my stomach and hear it very well. My stomach actually rumbled and its pretty visible outwards. Is this caused by recent stressors or should I look into other possibilities? Anyone out there have the same problem

I find it hard to get to sleep at night. I go to bed between 10:15 and 11, and during the day I sometimes feel tired. I don't want to go to bed too late because when I go to work, I leave home between 7:40 and 8:40. Any suggestions on how to help me?

This is kind of gross/weird...but here it goes... :)

Okay....you know how asparagus makes your pee stink? Well...cappinchinos and frappachinos do too!!! I don't know why this is, but I have even confirmed it with 2 girlfriends of mine, and it definitely does. After I have a starbucks and I go to the bathroom, it smells like my drink did!! lol Why is this??! Has anyone else noticed this too? I know with asparagus it's the acid in the vegetable that makes your urine smell. Any clues about why coffee related drinks do? I have tested this with both starbucks and slim fast cappichino drinks, and it works every time :) lol Thanks for your input!

I got admitted to the ER in the evening and was released at midnight. My charges are for the 5th and the 6th which puts me as an inpatient since it was regarded as overnight. Do hospitals bill just bill for the entire day regardless of when you are released? The doctor that discharged me is only billing me for the 5th so I am very confused and unsure what to do.

OK, so it was very hot yesterday....more than 102 degrees F....and I did the best I could with water, food, air conditioning, and so on. I never allowed myself to get hungry or dehydrated....and believe me, I KNOW when I am dehydrated because the veins in my hands stick out....and they weren't doing that last night. I didn't get the auras that you often see with heat exhaustion, either, but I was nauseous as hell and ended up vomiting at one point. I had been out of the air-conditioed room for about an hour; but as I said, I wasn't dehydrated and HAD eaten well. Could the vomiting still have been caused by the heat, even though I wasn't having dehydration symptoms? Or do you think maybe it was just something I ate?

My stomach was bugging me for about 8-10 hours, but I only vomited a couple of times.

Hehe....sorry for the gross-out!

I do not drink coffee because I get muscle spasms in my face every time I do, but recently I was assigned in graveyard shift for my job and I have to drink coffee just to keep me awake the whole night. The muscle spasms in my face bothers me a lot and it can make me lose my concentration. I just want to know what causes that and if there's anything that can prevent it.

This problem didnt occur until I smoked my first cigar(Black Captain) with my friend several days ago. My heart/leaf lung started hurting and then stopped. Then when I was lifting up boxes from the storage with my mom, it started hurting again. Now, I'm kinda drunk right now and my heart is REALLY hurting this time...and although it may seem like it, I;m not really a drug person. This is my first time gettin drunk in months, so yeah.

What would the problm be? Should I go to a walk in clinic(I cant go to a doctor with my parents).

Why would my pants smell like pee? They always get wet in between my legs but I do not pee my pants. I always go to the bathroom when I have to go. I hate it because it's very embarrasing and I feel like people can smell it sometimes. Why is this and is there anything out there I can take. I have a DR appt on Friday for something else so I'm going to ask about it when I go. Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Serious answers only please.

I work at home using a computer. Every day I find myself falling asleep mid afternoon. The sleepiness is so compelling that I frequently find I have fallen asleep slumped on the keyboard. It sounds funny but it is a real problem!

I had extreme muscle cramping in my foot and other leg in the middle of the night, even though I had eaten a banana in the evening. I felt like screaming out in pain. I've had bad muscle cramps before, but nothing this severe. Then later this morning after a meeting both legs cramped up around my knees when I went to stand up, even though I had taken calcium, potassium and magnesium supplements a few hour before. (Embarrassing and quite painful!)

My doctor is out today, but the one "on call" had her nurse call me back recommending that I apply "warm compresses?" Wouldn't they at least be interested in my electrolyte levels?

(I am not taking anti-cholesterol meds except for niaspan.)
