So, I was at the beach when I accidently swam into a nest of jellyfish. They stung me on my legs which, later turned into red, swollen, welts. I heard about peeing but I thought that was only a myth. Will I risk infection if I don't treat them? If anyone has any good cures please answer to this. Thank you.

I fell while roller blading and used my hands to catch myself. My right hand kinda buckled so I was on my arm. Both my hands and my right wrist/arm hurt at the time but now its just my wrist and the space in between my thumb and finger that hurt. But it hurts to tre point that I can't move my wrist or thumb. What can I do to ease the pain without going to the doctors or store?

If you have a backache due to car accident or lifting wrong way or having rough sex, and if you stretch yourself afterwards by letting one friend pull you by the arms & at same time the other friend pull you by the legs, will it fix my back pain? If this will work and if my friends aren't available, is there another way?

how can someone who is bent over - nearly double - straighten up? the PD causes the abdominal muscles to be so strong and the back muscles to be weak so one is pulled over. Botox injections into the abdominal muscles did not seem to do much, neither has the physiotherapy exercises. l have not seen any other PD sufferer with this condition. Any serious suggestions welcome - no jokes please - we enjoy a laugh, but pain making sense of humour a bit thin.......

I had surgery to fix a herniated disc last year. I have permanent numbness on my right side from the herniation (it was L4-L5). Now I am having problems with the left side. The MRI shows two more discs herniated and one is near the nerve root at L5-S1. The doctor doesn't want to do surgery. he wants me to have cortasone shots. ANyone have this type of experience? Did it work. Man, I'm only 30 and other than my back, I'm in good shape.

£17.50p per WEEK will help control this appalling .illness.
For each and every week that this drug manages to stop this ilness going beyond the mild stage it will save a staggering amount of money per patient.
When it goes beyond the mild stage the costs rise dramatically. nursing homes, home care. Also by then the patient is in serious decline and the quality of life has in essence already passed them by.
Could somebody out there just explain the financial logic of the decision of NICE to withold these drugs which can help enhance these peoples lives

Two days ago, my sister accidently slammed the leg of a chair on my toe and my toenail cracked in half horizontally. I cleaned all the blood off of it and put a band aid on it thinking my body would take care of it itself. But when I looked at it this morning, I realized that skin was growing inbetween the broken toenail and it really hurts. Help me! I want to wear open toe shoes on the first day of school, which is August 20.

I would like to know the details on the rules about nurses not being able to date there patients.

1. How long has it been in place?
2. Is there a time frame for when it no longer applies to the patient after he is discharged or is it indefinite?

and any other useful info you think I should know. I am just curious about this. I don't know any nurses I want to date, but I have like 2-3 years ago.

To start off i jog usually every other day and do torso workouts on the odd days. On the days i jog i go for about 30 minutes so i sweat a lot but I'm not necessarily really tired. Well yesterday i felt like pushing it a bit, i decided to jog for 2 hours because i had woken up early. I had my jog and i was so tired after that i almost felt like laying down at work when i usually have tons of energy. I got through the day and only felt tired no soreness yet. So i woke up this morning and my Quads, Glutes and Calves are very very sore, they feel tight and painful when i stretch. Today is a odd day so i wont be jogging but i am worried that by tomorrow i will be so sore that i cant even run my normal 30 minutes. Are there any tricks or things that i can do to relieve the soreness by tomorrow morning, but if not should i wait till the soreness is completly gone to go running again? Any help is greatly appreciated!
