You have stomach nerve that goes up along your esophagus, it follows that same nerves that are connected to you heart and can give you a false reading for a heart problem so, you have to be careful. If you think you could be having a heart problem, you could or, couldn't, it could be acid reflux.
A lot depends on age, physical activity, heart diseases in the family. Etc, don't ever think your young age has no bearing, it does and, in fact, many young people do have heart problems. A product of our society.
If you've taken something for acid reflux and have been quiet for several hours and it still bothers you then, you should see an ER and they'll run and EKG to make sure your O.K.

if you have eaten A LOT... it could be indigestion or gas. sometimes gas causes pain near the chest area due to the extra air. definitely try an OTC product like gas-ex and see if it helps. if you feel a burning sensation lower middle section of your chest, right above your diaphram, it could be indigestion. you can try anti-acids (tums, mylanta, rollaids) for the indigestion and see if it gets better...
of course i am just another answerer on here.. but if you are experience really really bad pain you should contact your dr. immediately or go to the ER. "really" bad pain isn't normal.
there may be other reasons your chest hurts too... it could be muscular (from exercise or over stretching), coughing too much, gallstones, cardiovascular health, etc. you're best bet is checking with your dr.. but since you mentioned eating too much... to me, it sounds like gas or indigestion.
hope you feel better soon.
