Skin Conditions - November 2006

I've had this for a while, at first i thought maybe i rubbed against a pen(somehow, while it seems impossible). I have this strange blue line all across the tip of my fingernail, it looks like a pen mark, i tried getting it to go away, it won't rub off and keeps coming back.
Anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?

My brother has some kind of rash on his skin. The rash is all over his body. It starts from little red dots that are not spread far apart from each other. Later on those dots form together and produce even more which becomes a big red spot that swells. It is the most intense on his back and is spreading all over his body. He was also itching it since last night. We think its poison ivy but we are not sure since a poison ivy rash is commonly in lines rather then in big round spots. If you kno wast it is please recomend any temperary relief. He is 3 years old. he goes to preschool. Also today in his preschool there was a strong smell of chlorine. Im assuming the floors there were washed with it. Could this possibly be an allergic reaction to the chlorine. Do you have any ides on what is could be?

I have eczema spots all over that seem to get worse in the winter. I've tried the perscription creams/lotions but never entirely get rid of it. Anyone know of anything natural that might help?

ok this's the story I need a Home remedy for my pimples I can't leave the house now to buy a over the counter medicine and I have a party to go to tomorrow morning so I'm desperate !! i have 2 big pimples that I don't know where they come from but as you know when you less expected they appear ..what can I do tonight with them ??? can I use something that I have somewhere in my house to make them to look better not that red?? I have a reddish rash under my eyes. I haven't changed anything (like food, makeup, moisturizer, body soap, detergent). It is swollen and painful. Other than cucumber, tea bags and an antihistamine, what else can solve and prevent this? What causes it?

I have typical dark skin color. Yesterday was basketball tryouts and I noticed that my skin was lighter on the upper portion of my arm. Why is my skin lighter on my upper arms, my stomach and darker on my lower arms and face. Is there anything that can cure this problem and will balance out my skin color

I just noticed it a while ago, it doesnt really hurt,but its never been there before,i dont think,its on my ring finger,its not like a wart, its under the skin,its not bumpy,its just a bump,i dont know what it is,its kinda shiny too,i also have a bump on my toe, but its not big,it looks like a pimple,but when i push down on it, it goes down and pops back up.

Got **beautiful** sterling silver chain--to mid-collarbone. Wore it 24/7 (from special someone, & there's special meaning behind this) for few days, but began itching & scratching.

No oozing, no skin breaks or lesions EXCEPT scratching-related redness & some "leathering" from scratching; better with couple days off & zinc oxide. Irritation most significant on sides of neck, where chain drops against collarbones. NOT a symmetrical ring around neck & minimal problem at back of neck, so it's NOT present in ALL skin in close contact w/chain.

Chain is very heavy links, almost masculine-looking, with faceted links. No known allergies. Once had allegedly "hypoallergenic" chain cause sim. itching/leathering.

Can sterling cause contact dermatitis, or is this maybe a mechanical dermatitis secondary to faceting? And does anyone know a way to toughen up skin, so I can keep wearing chain, pref 24/7? DON'T want to have to ask for a return on this special gift.

My sister has very oily skin (looks wet practically) and lots of acne. I have pretty good skin, normal, not oily, and just a few break outs every now and then. What causes her to have this terrible skin, is it heredity? I feel so bad for her, she uses everything and nothing seems to help dry it out.

I am 29 and I have never had a zit on my back before. It always goes away when I go on vacation or stay at someone else's house for more than 2 days.
