I have been smoking off and on for the past two years, but never considered myself a smoker. I would smoke one cigarette a week. Then a few months ago, I bought a pack and smoked then. I then quit for awhile, and then bought another pack, then stopped again. Well I just (again) finished my 2nd pack of cigarettes.

I know their bad, but I like them, it relieves so much stress, but I know I don't want to be addicted to them.

but I like them.

What should I Do?

My friend had open heart surgery when she was 22 and they told her she couldn't have kids because it would put too much starin on her heart. She is 26 now and she wakeboards and surfs and is pretty active. I think she could have kids....but I don't know...anybody been through this?

My mom smoked when she was pregnant with me,and she smoked around me as a baby/growing up. I now have a wheeze when i breathe and have times where i fight for my breathe. I also get tired quickly and cant exercise too hard. I now have a huge fear of lung cancer as i know i'm at a high risk. I sometimes get an aching pain at the bottom of my left lung. Thankfully my mom has quit but i know the damage is now done, something inside me keeps telling me i will die from this horrible disease,i live in fear of it all the time and i get super angry when people smoke around me,what should i do?

This seems to have started when I came back from the mountains of Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. I am wondering if it could be stress and something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been to the doctor and he says I am having withdrawal from a certain medicine. I have told him I feel like I am not getting enough air.

I have had breathing difficulties for the past four years. Every time I go to the doctor, they tell me it's asthma. I know it's not. They give me some medication, inhalers or steroids. They make no difference. I go back, they give me the same stuff again.

This is the NHS, and they want you out the door in 5 minutes, they don't want to treat anything tricky, I understand that, but I'm getting desperate.

What can I do to get some appropriate treatment?
