This seems to have started when I came back from the mountains of Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. I am wondering if it could be stress and something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been to the doctor and he says I am having withdrawal from a certain medicine. I have told him I feel like I am not getting enough air.

Sounds like something called dyspnea. Perhaps if you are still unsure and having problems, get a second or third opinion!

hmmmm this seems to be something i experienced as well.....although i usually call it shortness of breath.....anyways if you were in the moutains then it could be some kind of medical condition that i cant really help you on because im not a doctor but a doctor saying a withdrawal from medecin seems like a pill poper......some doctors are like that........first get a second and third opinion to see what there diagnoses are

then if that doesnt help then i would suggest it would be some kind of anxiety or stress....i had the same thing and experienced shortness of breath and i felt too that i wasnt getting enough air...my doc said it was anxiety that usually happens to girls.....great for me a man with this bull **** lol......anyways its kinda like hyperventilating.....try breathing in a paper bag.......it sounds like bad advice but if you keep taking in oxygen and not getting any out thats not good for you........if you sdont wanna do that then hold your breath for 15 seconds and exhale......do it for another 15.....and another then see how you feel

the thing i realized is that theres never any clear cut answer to these problems and doctors dont seem like there helping us much these days.....my advice is to atleast get a second opinion and see what he says then do some research on the internet.......if it has something to do with the mountains then im no help but if its stress related then take my advice

change in atmospheres/ alt.s could have changed something within your body depending on how long you were gone. Find a different doctor if the one you have won't listen to you. Stress and such can come into play as well. Sounds more like a panic attack type thing thats going on as well.

it sounds to me like maybe you are having an allergic reaction from something that you are breathing in or from foods that you eat i would stay away from stuff like milk, coffee, corn, wheat ,peanuts, junk food, and anything else that you can think of until you get this thing figured out

maybe coz you were breathing in more oxygen when you were in the mountains...or is it less oxygen...and your lungs need to re adjust
