Neither.
Tiger Balm is your only man for the vapours.

Vic vapour rub is good for inhaling in a steam bath if you are feeling chesty. One teaspoon in a small container of boiling water. Place container on table inside another larger bowl in case it accidentally tips over . Put your head over this and cover with a towel. Remain there for ten minutes inhaling deeply.
Olbas Oil is more convenient to use as you can do it anywhere. Put some drops on your palm, cup your hands together and inhale it from there, but it doesn't have the same beneficial effect as steam or work as well for me.

I love miss piggy bty, and as for the inhalent, I go for olbas oil every time. Stick a few drops in steaming hot water and inhale. Just before bed time put some on ya pillow and while restful sleepin you can sniff it.

Good luck

I prefer Vicks. I inhale it, without diluting, until the junk has broken down and then just before going (back) to bed for the night, I rub it under my nose so that it will continue to work while I sleep. I also rub it over temples and cheeks to help clear my sinuses. I dont know if it is scientific, but this seem to work!

I have used Vicks Vapo Rub for a full lifetime.
65 years. It is excellent. Now I use it on my granddaughters.

On the chest and a little on your nasal passages will clear up your chest and sinuses in one or two nights.

Needless to say Flannel Pajamas are part of the recovery and plenty of tea and juice and chicken noodle soup.

Get well soon. (Oddly enough now that we get flu shots we never catch colds.)

Olbas clears up your nose nicely, but I'd go with Vic for chesty coughs and congestion. Most of the time when my nose is blocked I use Vic Sinex, which is a bottle of liquid that you spray up your nose. It works wonders, but if you squirt too much so liquid goes down your throat its pretty nasty.

Vic is good but Olbas certainly 'clears you out'. The first time I tried it, I was told 'Put a lot on a hankie and take a really deep breath'. Bad move!! I nearly ended up on the ceiling. It's strong!!!

They are equally good. Olbas oil can only relieve nasal and head congestion but vicks can be rubbed on your chest to relieve any chest colds.
