For the last couple of days, I have had several bouts of disorientation, confused thinking, dizzyness. As soon as I lay down, I feel better. I can get back up after 15 minutes, and I'm fine. To give an example, I was sitting at my desk a few minutes ago and had a sudden thought: did I wreck my car coming to work this morning or was that a dream? I went to the parking lot, and sure enough, I had hit a post while driving to work; it barely registered. I'm not drunk or high or anything like that.

Someone told me I may be in atrial fibrillation. My heart did feel funny but was in a regular rythm. My blood work came back elevated (a BNP blood test) which they said was for heart failure but my cardio was not concerned because the CT, chest x-ray, ekg and echo was normal.

I'm a 44 yo male, a litte over weight, doesn't drink much, and doesn't smoke. I had a stress echo 2 years ago and everything was reported as being clean, but I've had some tightness in my chest and thought it was from my cpap machine, which I use for sleep apnea. Family Dr did an ekg and compared it to one he did 2 years ago and said there were some changes and he thinks he sees something that suggests ischemia. I don't have tightness all the time, just once in a while, mostly in the morning, I work out and don't get winded, unless its a strenous workout. I eat mostly proteins and fruits and veggies, and take flax seed and fish oil pills everyday along with my blood pressure pill (verapomil) I just don't understand how there could be a narrowing in 2 years?

I have a heart murmur, and I can't take any diet supplements that increase your heart rate. Basically, that means that I shouldn't be taking diet pills or energy drinks. I don't know, I think that it may have something to do with the caffeine. Anyways, I began drinking Slim-Fast, but isn't that stuff natural? That won't make my heart go all weird, will it?
If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

I am only 18 years old and my doctor thinks I have SVT but she has referred me to a cardiologist for confirmation. What tests am I to expect when seeing this cardiologist and should I be worried? Are all these tests to occur on the first visit or not?

Sometimes I have shortness of breath but my doctor told me it's related to anxiety. I will admit that when I get anxious I get very short of breath and tend to panic, and that when I'm not anxious about something I feel fine. However I do feel fatigued when I wake up and I feel fatigued after excersizing so I can't excersize for long amounts of time. Anything I can do?
